My husband and I have had high hopes for our smoker, but it has been nothing but trouble! We have owned it for just over a year and had issues from initial use. The thermometer has gone out twice now. The issues we had to begin with were fixed through the warranty, but now that it's been a little over a year, we are having huge issues again and it won't get up to temp. We really got a lemon and instead on sending a replacement, they kept just sending replacement parts, but the parts keep going bad still. I gave it 2 stars because when it does work properly, it's great, especially with the use of smoke tubes. However, it only worked right for a few smoking sessions before breaking again. I can't recommend this smoker.

Ok, here it goes, I bought this a month ago and cooked my first set of ribs. Now this make a decent outdoor oven but it will not maintain temperature. Ones it gets up to temperature it will hold it there for about 10-15 minutes and then drop 15-25 degrees. I had to keep raising the temperature to try and bring the cooking temp back up. This will not smoke the meet, now a lot of smoke comes out the top but no smoke stays in the box. I tried my next set of ribs tonight and still no Smokey ribs. I’m highly disappointed in this machine and not what I was looking for in a smoker. I like to cook and come up with new ways of cooking but every thing I have done with this smoker I could do in the oven. To me this machine was a waste of money and I’m glad I didn’t have it for our military family day. I do not recommend

I have had this in Colorado for a few months, but weather kept me from really using it. After moving to Florida a few months ago, I've been on it quite a bit. Simply love it! I've always wanted an easy-to-use smoker that didn't take up alot of space. This smoker fits the bill. Everything I make in it turns out amazing. Mostly a rib guy, but looking forward to some fresh fish smoking out here. I highly recommend.

Pit Boss 3 series smoker electric smoker

I bought this smoker just after Christmas of last year. I have used it almost every weekend and cant say enough good things about it and the job it does. The temp may may struggle to get to 400 but I never smoke over 250 anyway so no issue. Quality and price and will buy another one for my lake house.

My first

I bought this about 10 months ago or so. Listed as a 4 rack unit, i received 3 didn't matter much at the time but I would like to have the 4th just in case. The first and second time used it the unit would not properly heat up...and then I figured it out. User error, I need to read the instructions. Anyway finally had to try again, 3rd times a charm. 8.5 lb pork butt - took 14 hours, wasn't fall off the bone so maybe another 2 hours, not sure as we were out of time. I do agree with the fact that the unit doesn't provide enough smoke by using the "Smoke" button just once, i needed to use it several times to keep it smoking, the problem with that is it runs up the temp and throws off the cook time. Could've been that 14 hours may have been enough and heating it up like that made tougher than I expected. Anyway a decent unit, i just recommended the Pit Boss units to a co-worker, I brought in some of the pork butt I smoked over the weekend and he enjoyed it so there ya go...

Amazing smoker

I've had this smoker for over 2 years, it has performed flawlessly. I keep it clean inside and out. I really like the glass door to keep an eye on meat. The temp control is spot on. I recent!y bought a KC Platinum combo and it has been flawless also. Keep those easy to use high quality cookers coming Pit Boss.

Had my smoker little under a year now and it keeps popping when I set the time and temperature. I go through set it all up and hit set and it acts like it try’s to turn the element on and makes a pop noise and shuts off. Circuit board issue? Is this still under warranty?
