GREAT SMOKER

This smoker is great!!! The board did go out on me but had no issues getting a new one at all very helpful people, the other review above or below I dont know how it will post but mine did the same thing but u have to acaully set the temp on it and how long before it cooks this smoker is wonderful

Rough start but I am pleased now

Initial assembly was not possible because the smoker cabinet was missing several threaded inserts preventing installation of the screws. Called customer service to describe the problem and did not reach a knowledgeable person. Suffice to say after two separate repair parts shipments I was able to blacksmith my way to complete assembly.
Eighteen months later having smoked a variety of ribs, brisket, chicken, pork etc I am very pleased with the product. My only complaint is the electronic readout is very dim and difficult to read during daylight hours. I find I must get down on my knees and get very close in order to see it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Temperature Issues

I bought the Pit Boss Series 3 electric smoker about a month ago. So far I’m happy with the product. However, I cannot seem to get the temperature to go over 250°. I used yesterday to smoke some queso dip and to reheat some pulled pork and the heat element ran the entire time (3.5 hrs) and the highest temp was 250°. HELP!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Almost perfect

I have thoroughly enjoyed my PitBoss Pro as far as the wonderful flavor of the foods but I cannot figure out how to set the probe to the desired final temperature. When I try, it tells me I can only do it using WiFi but the PitBoss always reverts back to bluetooth. So I must continually check the temp as to not over cook anything. Sort of annoying.

Love my smoker ..but

I brought my smoker just about a year ago and used it a lot. In general, it is a great product. I have smoked a lot of food in it to perfection. Now flash forward, I was latching the door closed and the whole latch came apart! It just busted, could not fix. I am having a hard time trying to find a replacement part. I don't want to Gerry rig it and drill holes. Would like to get Latch that fits predrill areas. I would give 5 stars if not for this conundrum.

Great Smoker! Best I ever had!

I started smoking meats in 1991. I have had 4 Bullet Smokers one electric, one charcoal, and two propane, three electric pit Smokers and three big chiefs (I use these for fish and my from scratch bacon). I bought this Series 3 Pit Boss three years ago. It has never failed to reack any temp I need, or any smoke level I need. I have smokes pork butt, turkey breasts and whole turkies, chicken whole and cut up, and multiple prime ribs. I am never, ever, disappointed! It doesn't even matter what kind of chips I use! It does an outstanding job EVERY TIME!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Maybe I received a bum smoker

The door and door latch mounting holes are not placed in the right location. Door doesn’t seal very good. With the door latched, I can see into the smoker. Small dents on the top and the door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
