First time failed

I’m on my 2nd attempt to burn off and the temp has never reached 350. It’s been on for over an hour now and the temp is only 325. Then it goes to 330 and then back down to 325 or 320. Will be returning it this week - only just bought it yesterday.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Went to use my smoker for the 1st time and it shuts off after about 2 minutes and throws a SEL code. Extremely un satisfied at this point

Per instructions...tried to operate at 350 for 30-40 minutes to cure paint and burn off residue. Per digital indicator it can't reach over 255. Used a temp gun and temp was over 400. How can I accurately cook without being able to trust the thermostat?
