Worked well for 1 month

After research I bought this for the ease of the digital components.
I smoked in it about 4 times
Today 3 hours into good smelling ribs it turned off and when you plug in it trips the gfi. Won’t work on any outlet
Looks like the whole module went out
Calling customer care tomorrow
It also came very dented up, but I didn’t even bother calling about that because I felt that it wouldn’t affect the function of the unit. But now I’m wondering if there was other faulty pieces and the dents were just the beginning of what’s happening now.

Not the best start

i received this as a fathers day gift and did the burn off then on fathers day cooked ribs for 3 hrs it had a beeping error Err the thermostat burned up in the middle of cooking not happy trying to get replacement parts
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

poor excuse for a smoker

I've been smoking meat and cheese for forty years and I think this smoker does a poor job if you want to smoke anything at lower temperatures. I have to keep removing the chip tray and light the chips with a torch to get smoke; but if you fire the chips to much they catch fire and raise the temp very high. it's a pain in the butt.
Don't buy this if you want a good smoker, I gave it two stars because it works good as an extra oven for roasting or baking
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey db01, thank you for sharing your experience. You shouldn't have to manually wick your chips. Try using the unit with the dampers completely closed and set to a higher temperature for 5-10 minutes to allow the chips to wick. Once they have started wicking, you can lower the grill temperature to your desired setting.

It was delivered yesterday afternoon assembled and I cooked on it in the evening. It worked great. You just have to follow the directions. I look forward to many more meals being cooked on lt.

The product was very good packed,most items packked seperatly to aboid scraches , the assembly was easy thanks to the good explanation.
The screws fit perfectly into the attached nuts.
Build is solid,looks nice to.

Not impressed so far

Temperature indicator and probe readings appear to be wrong. Just finished smoking a 3lb beef brisket for 4-1/2 hours at 225 - 250F. Took it out, sliced it open and it is almost raw in the middle. Probe temp only reached 165 degrees.

That sounds really frustrating—especially after spending hours smoking a brisket and not getting the results you expected. It can definitely throw off your cooking plans when the temperature readings aren’t matching what’s actually happening inside the meat. Thanks for sharing, Boyd C.

I bought mine 3 months ago.and it worked great the first time. When I went to use it the second and third time it shuts off after one minute
