I've had several problems. First I tried to install an older version of PhotoShop and it hung up the computer and I had to do a complete Restore and start all over again. Today I got another hang up with a message that the Recycle Bin file was corrupted. I finally got the computer to do a hard shut down after several tries and then it did a start up like it was a new sign in. Very disappointed.
My only area of concern so far is my old HP laptop had a battery that was easy to replace. This laptop does not have a removeable battery that would be easy to remove and replace or swap. Other than that I really like it and it is much faster than my old HP laptop. The keyboard has keys that are not bad, but I do like the old keyboard keys I had better as you had to press on them less for them to work. Sometimes when I am typing if I do not press a key hard enough it will not submit the character. But, that is not a common thing to occur. I could type a little faster on the old keyboard format as the keys were more responsive. I have not used the touch screen feature a lot but I did pay to upgrade to have it.
New computers are exciting… except for setting it up! Have it now for a couple of weeks… updated the new Windows 11 and have spent many frustrating hours attempting to set it up… have not used it yet since I need guidance to get the simplest things like email set up. Cannot figure out how to get icons/applications on the screen.
This was perfect for college, I was using an older 17" HP and it was just way too bulky and really heavy. This laptop actually fits on the desks in lecture halls and the screen is really good I can actually see outside on it and even inside when the lecture lights are beaming straight onto the screen
I recently broke my laptop and bought this one to replace it and it’s better than what I had I love it, I do wish I was able to get a better color but it’s not a big deal
This computer is such a nice upgrade from my previous Hp Notebook (that was getting to be around 7 years old!). I did upgrade my computer have 512 GB of storage because I take a lot of pictures! I know if I would have stayed with the standard 256 GB that my storage would be all used up after transferring my documents and pictures from my other computer to this one. The upgraded storage is so nice to have! The speed is super nice, and it works great. Some issues I have with this laptop is that the fan is a little loud. I don't know if it's because it's overheating or what (yes, I do work with it in my lap, but it also becomes loud when working on a table with proper air flow), but it makes me a little nervous. Another thing that does irk me a little is that the battery life isn't that great. Sure, the battery lasts about 4-5 hours depending on what you're doing, which is great! But I'll have it all charged up and then shut it down and when I turn it back on my battery is already a quarter dead. I've looked online and this seems to be a common issue with fast boot up or something related to that, but I can't figure out how to fix it. I also bought the warranty for 3 years and am unable to install it on my computer, so that really bugs me. Apart from those issues, I have run into other small issues, but those are more my preferences than actual issues. I thought that the laptop was super easy to set up. Having already had an Hp product, it was super easy for me to just sign into my Microsoft account on my new computer and have all my web bookmarks transferred over. Overall, this is a good laptop for home users!
