One "little" shortcoming I found...

On my Federal Return this year, it allowed me to pay a partial amount of the taxes I owed WITHOUT any warning or notice that I was doing that.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

The software blocks certain answers to tax issues that other company's do not seem to block (online searches).
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I purchased this app and had nothing but disappointment. Each person who did their taxes in February still hadn't received their taxes and we found out though the stat of Colorado that we didn't have to pay for the state filing. I will not use these apps again

After using H&R Block Software for over 10 years, this year I wasn't able to use the E-file option. I was told by the customer rep that 8 days after I downloaded the 2024 software in early January, an attempt was made by someone to E-file using my information. I told the rep that I should have gotten an email if that were the case but was told that the email provided looked like a "randomly created" email address and wasn't valid. In any case, this attempt to fraudulently E-file invalidated my ability to use the E-file option this year and I was required to file the federal return on paper. I asked for a full investigation of the matter and to be informed of the results. This makes me unsure whether I will use this software for 2025.

Have used H&R Block software for the past 15 years -- and have extremely happy (year after year) with my purchase!! The software is easy to use, comprehensive across multiple tax issues, and well worth the price!!
