The software has works well for my needs. It’s easy to navigate. Being able to import prior years data is a plus. I’ve used it several years and never had an issue with any of my returns.
But…I wish they would hire someone who knows how to program on a Mac. This was the second year I have had issues with program functionality because I use a Mac. This year I could not get the state program to load. After a few back and fourths with customer service, I gave up and had them give me the windows version of the program so I could finish the state return. Next year I will just order the windows version up front. That said, in both cases where I have had issues with the program, their customer service was great. They had good communication skills and I was able to work the issues out with minimal frustration.

I had problems with the software this year. I’m a retired CPA but I’m turning 80 this year so some of the problems may have been me. I have a lot of dividends, rollovers, minimum required distributions, pensions etc. , so it is not an easy tax return.I had to override some items the software did that were incorrect.

The federal portion works fine. The last 2 years I have received post-filing corrections from the state (Oregon), however. These have caused varying degrees of problems. This year (2024) the feds wouldn't even accept my return because of a past data problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
