I've used the Deluxe Software for over 20 years, with a short hiatus due to special tax situations for a few years. Always a good experience, the interview format asks the appropriate questions and determines what forms are needed. I don't really have to look at any of the IRS forms, I can review the questionnaire and the summary. Top features include importing from banks and investment firms, and knowledge of obscure and seldom used forms and tax regulations. E-file fee is included in the modest cost of downloading the software.

It works for anything without anything complicated, but as soon as you get to anything hard (K statements), the help isn't there. In addition, it's shameful they make you pay again if you want an extension. This is new and I don't like it.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
