Very frustrating

Needed to file a very simple return for US citizen living abroad and paying taxes to a foreign country. Given the basic flow it was unclear if wages should be in the form of W-2 or not. Later, it skipped over the Foreign Wages. I had to go into the "take me to" section to find where to enter the information. After I did this, it would not accept the address I put in. After twenty revisions I realized it needed a "State" to be filled out - which is stupid for a foreign address. It never highlighted that box as the problem, just kept highlighting the street address. Next complaint - how hard do you have to make it to save a pdf of the return? Have to click "print" then fumble around to find some option of exporting or saving as a pdf (and make sure you have the imagine fitting properly on the page - I realized last year's did not and cut off most of the numbers on the forms!) Yes, it got me through; but took ten times longer than it should.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software itself is/was fine, but the download process to an iMac was terrible. Every time the software required an update (which was frequently throughout the tax season), the update process would fail, and I would have to uninstall the entire program and reinstall. It created a really frustrating experience.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall a good experience, but 1-the interview option failed to alert/allow input of my IP PIN. with difficulty I managed to search and manually input this important info. 2-Your formatting of various printed reports is really poor, in fact worse than poor. At a minimum there should be an option to print file reports w/o the "NOT FOR FILING" and the attendant shrinking of the report text area.

The feature that I would like to have is that when I am viewing a form, I would like to click on a cell value and be taken to the interview that caused that cell's value. Right now the software has a 'related to' option that never seems to go anywhere. It took me a while to track down a cell that got incorrectly populated and this happened many times.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

I purchased 2 copies to help with filing 2024 taxes for myself and family members. It was to include 5 free filings. There must have been an issue with the activation code. One only allowed for 3 filings and the other only 2 (one had to be refiled because it wasn't accepted because missing a pin). Also, the cost to file a 6th return is as much as buying the software. I needed to buy an extra software to manage the 5 that I couldn't file with the 2 I purchased.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

For some odd reason your software caused my state return to be rejected. And I KNOW it was done correctly. Federal was accepted. So I paper mailed them.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

I had to pay to file an extension. It's hardly what I consider to be a "free filing". Deceptive.
