I trust this software explicitly. However, I am not an accountant nor tax specialist and have found some of their terms and some of their explanations require the specialties of an accountant or tax specialist. I say this with good authority since I had a problem on an unusual aspect and it took a friend, a tax specialist, to figure it out/straighten it out and it turn out to be totally engulfed in terminology. Normally using this software to do our, mine and my wife's, is very straightforward, even with us transitioning from working folk to retired folks. To H&R Please test your software and its many aspects on non-financial folks.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using the HR Block tax software for at least 10 years. I find it easy to use, especially since I can import the previous year's tax and reduce the amount of unchanging data that I need to input. A key to getting everything done in a short period of time is making sure that you have gathered all your tax statements together prior to inputting new information. If I went to an accountant, I would still have to do that, and that task takes the longest. I appreciate the final checkup / review for missed information and the advice the program gives as you complete the return.
