Extremely frustrating

Software keeps "losing" my royalty data. Appears to disappear (can't access to validate/edit) then when I go back to add it in,it magically reappears. Extremely frustrating. I have a weird W2 with no taxable income. Would not process the return with it, in spite of the fact the W2 clearly states no taxable income. No way to override. Kept asking me for social security income. I have NO social security income. Complete do loop every time.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Still has problems with clarity of instructions and easy of finding specific places where information exists or changes need to be made. Tax code is very complicated so it must be difficult to construct perfect tool. In past years I had trouble convincing H&R that their software had flaws in the Idaho return. I feel that I was not taken seriously although the errors were finally fixed at the last minute (not for me, but in a final update.)
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
