Our in-law does our taxes through HR Block. I can't attest to the software except she has used for yrs. She trust it. If she does we do.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have been using the software since 2001, every year is easier to use and the guided interviews are working much better according to current practices.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

HR Block Deluxe did a pretty good job this year. Only problem was the CA State software and how the taxpayer is supposed to determine differences between Fed and Sate with respect to depreciation of business assets. Figuring that out was very time consuming and I still don't get about a carry over of depreciation because of a business loss. Also, there was a problem with reporting State Income Tax refund.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

your product sucks - I will not use it again. I don't care how much Turbo Tax costs, I will go back to it no matter what.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I bought this product and am happy with it except for one thing, I don't think you should charge for state tax return. I have seen other programs that don't require a charge for state returns. Outside of that it was a simple program to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I’ve used this software for years, including itemized deductions, and self employment and rental property income. It’s straightforward and easy. This year was the first tile I used e-file. I was surprised that during the review, e-file required more info for highlighted items even though I met stated criteria to leave blank, unlike paper filing.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
