Product gets more user friendly every year!

After using H&R Block software fore over ten years, I find the program easier to use each year. To their credit, little inconveniences/annoyances seem to be eliminated each year. Now I would be hard pressed to identify any!
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

One Little Hitch

I've been an HR Block user for years. This year was the first time I had a problem.
When it came time to e-file, HRB entered the wrong AGI from last year for the Federal return. Once it was rejected, I had a hard time entering the correct AGI. HRB should instruct us to get the AGI off the printout from the previous year, rather than accept what the program inputs.

After all this, I can't print it!!!! Would it buy it again? No.

I've used Block software successfully in past years. This time I had several problems. I uploaded from a DVD. When I tried to import data from last year, I got nothing, so I had to enter everything from scratch.
When I got to filing electronically, a message said my 2015 AGI was already loaded. In fact the box had a zero in it and it wouldn't allow me to enter the correct amount. I finally found an instruction that allowed me to "right click" and override.

Failed to submit the state return.

After saying that everything was error free and ready to go, some glitch would not allow the filing of the Ohio state return. Very frustrating and no one to contact for prompt help. I will have to mail in the state return.

Moving to cloud has removed features & support

I've used HR Block for years now, but this is the last year. I prefer NOT to use cloud services for my personal information and therefore downloaded the app. Support requires having an online account (which I do NOT want) and then is less than useful. In previous versions of HR block tax SW I was able to see my effective tax rate and how I compared to the rest of the country. After trying to get an answer for 45 minutes, first by calling then being told I had to get information online...the answer was...oh, "that isn't available, you can get tax rate information on the IRS website". No *(&^ Charlie....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Since I do not have enough itemized deductions I use the standard deduction and I could probably use your basic software that I have used in previous years. However it is nice to have all the information you provide in the deluxe version.

I could not find the proper EStimated Tax payment voucher form in the program
I could print out one - that "Not for Filing" - however I had to cut the pages for each Quarterly payment voucher -- This was not the situation in my previous 10 years of using the program!!!
