Software error which prevented automatic import of 1099 information from Merrill Lynch was a headache. Key reason for using the software is automated data entry via external sources. When not available, software is significantly less useful. Problem was eventually fixed, but not until mid-March, after manual entry had been completed and taxes filed. Time consumed completing taxes easily doubled because of lack of automated import.

I have been using H&R Block Tax Software for many years now and find that it improves each year. It works seamlessly importing tax data from my accounts. As a Senior now, I appreciate the elimination of needless complexities, and the explanations of those areas where there may be an audit problem.

The Federal version of the software worked fine, but the state version was all messed up it was off by 6769% totally unusable.

i didn't like this software as much as Turbo Tax. It was harder to use than Turbo Tax and even thou nothing has changed this year from last year. Last year we got $70 back, This year we get $0 back.
Also This software would not let us file the State electronically so we had to print it and take it to the post office. Several weeks later they still haven't logged it as delivered.
