Good, but a bit confused by the changes from 2023

This is the third or fourth year I have used H&R Block software and am generally happy with the product. What I found confusing in my 2024 return vs. my 2023 return was the prompt to verfy all my stock purchase/sale options after downloading my 1099s from my Schwab account. Your softwared did not inform me that these verfications were recommended but not required. I DID find that out after I had laboriously processed 88 of them. It added 3 hours to the process. IRS has accepted my return as filed.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Similar features to Turbo Tax, but less expensive

I have used Turbo Tax for many years previously, but decided to try H&R Block software this year to see how they compare. The one negative feature I have with both is the extra cost of e-filing the State Return. I feel that both programs should include one State e-file without extra cost. Both programs made it very difficult to separately file Federal Returns as e-file, and paper-file the State Return. This process should be much simpler.
I would recommend this to a friend!
