Easy to use

I have used H&R Block software for several years and have always found it a straight forward guide to getting my taxes filed. The only issue I have had is during the filing step when all is ready for the IRS. You have to enter the prior year's AGI so the IRS will accept/validate the new return when submitted. Each year the software says since you used us last year we have filled this field for you. Problem, the value shown is 0. I have to pull out last year's forms and manually override the value. Simple to do just shouldn't have to do it.

Poor interface and poor function

When I went to submit my return electronically. After entering all information including my credit card information. The program needs to be updated. So the software closes, loses my inputed information BUT still charges my credit card!! So, after the update, I try it again assuming that my credit card will not be charges twice, the return is submitted. But I am charged TWICE!
Don't you think you would check for updates for the state income tax return BEFORE you charge the customer? Please Make a smarter piece of software! Also the advance button is in a different location on each screen, so the poor interface makes it hard to quickly advance. Really these are simple changes. Get with it . . . H&R Block!
