Consistently ok, some problems filing

I've been using Taxcut for years, so I just continue. No reason to switch, it does the job. NJ doesn't require driver's license, but couldn't get past it in filing which angered me. Also, free e-filing for state should be part of the package.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Fast

Not very good for retired Social security ONLY old people.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare
Pros: Easy to install

Impossible to E file on line after completing

Filling out the forms was easy, but I found it impossible to file my taxes on line as I have so easily done in the past. What is up with that important detail!

Easy to use, obsessively accurate, great results

I've been using this for 7 years now and it seems to improve every year. Great value and convenience if you activate it from the version you receive in the mail. It walks you through the questions, does a great job re-using last year's return and importing docs from the Internet, and verifies and re-verifies that you have not forgotten to provide info - e.g. I had skipped the real estate tax, it brought me back and I saved another $1000! Also allows you to go back and forth to fix things, and good help through hotlinks (just click on the term or question you don't understand). I have a small business and it really helps me structure my P&L for the IRS. I love the meter that shows the risk of audit, and every year since I used it, the IRS accepted the return within 6 hours. I suppose Turbo-tax is similar but I never had the motivation to explore - why should I?

There used to be a way to see what maximum deductions other people have taken, etc. This time, I had to look it up online. The software in general doesn't seem as good as it was a few years ago. But it is helpful with the basics. I had to hunt to put in my charity deductions though, it wasn't in the interview.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Pretty smooth except it dumps out when you get into trickier K-1 questions, and the California version has very little help with the adjustments.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare
