Been using this software for years, but HR BLOCK really needs to have people who know nothing about tax preparation review it before they publish it.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare

Didn't work for me

I move from Iowa to Florida and the software forces your income from both states into one lump taxable sum. Florida doesn't charge income tax so there were obviously no deductions so I'm hit with huge fees.
The only way to change it is to manually put the entries into the fields of the forms, mail, and print. Therefore, the software was absolutely useless. I can download the forms and fill them out manually for free.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Doesn't import brokerage house account numbers from last year's data. Doesn't process K-1 information. Doesn't have necessary forms available. Inflexible. Hard to navigate worksheets and forms. Lame information - just go straight to IRS web page instead.

Great software - have used it for many years. had major problem with support. Telephone and chat access. My verification code was not being accepted. I hadn't used it and was trying to file my return. I tried for three days to talk to a human to no avail.I ended up paying vis credit card to file. an unnecessary expense for me.

paid extra for deluxe because of a property sale but your software offered no assistance on calculating base. i almost overpaid my taxes because you did not offer enough assistance. fortunately i found some assistance on the irs website. the point of buying the software is not to have to look for the information myself.

I am not happy with this product it has not allowed me to file electronically the past two years I have had to mail in my returns and I have been charged extra filing fees when I submitted my return. nobody to call for assistance unless you pay additional fees.
