I finally went for the processing capacity with this computer. I had an HP 17in with the i3. Now I have the i7. Big difference especially I teach online classes sharing videos.
I have been using this device over the past few weeks and so far, it is able to deal with everything I throw at it. From running multiple applications and office programs to even a bit of light gaming, this device is a great deal for anyone looking for an all purpose computer that has a screen large enough to multitask whilst being light enough to transport. Having used a smaller HP device before, I was looking for a something that shared the same specs whilst having a screen that can easily be used when an external monitor is not available. The performance with the latest processor and SSD make opening apps a breeze. In this case, I am able to have a larger screen to accommodate running a spreadsheet whilst taking notes without worrying about eye strain. Overall, this is a great device for those looking for a larger sized laptop while having the performance power needed for everyday tasks.
The only things I would change would be the power key and additional usb jacks. I have no idea why you would move the power-on button into the line of other identical buttons. I like the led light but I have an older Hp and the button was top left by itself. Even in the dark, I could find the on button. Otherwise, I am very happy with my new computer.
My biggest problem with this laptop is that they buried the power button in the keyboard. You can't just feel around a corner of the computer, find the button, and click it. You need to be in a lit area and look closely to find the on/off. Terrible idea.
Great, fast, but design is slightly questionable. The power button should be sitting on its own, not in the middle of the top line, mixed in with important keys like the delete key. Also, as big as it is, why no cd/DVD/Blu-ray drive or even a SD card slot? Still, though having to buy the latter separately, it's a good, large laptop that's way faster than my Dell AiO desktop.
