Great discount offered on a budget machine that nevertheless performs very well as an upgrade to my old laptop. Primary usage is online (for light gaming and educational tools) and it fills those needs nicely.
This is a great laptop with the newest Core 5 processor. The number of cores and threads in the processor could be misleading. This one just has 2 performance cores which is what really matters. Do the research. The one thing that I regret was finding out the RAM is soldered and is not expandable. This wasn't clear in the specs on the HP sales pages but I did find it after digging deeper. The screen is fine but not a huge improvement from older comparable HP laptops. The one thing that these new models have that is two fantastic multipurpose high speed USB-C ports where you can power the laptop, connect screens or hubs.
So far so good. All expectatios met. Turns on and starts up right away. Very sensitive to touch but not to worry nothing gets list or deleted . Having fun reintroducing myself to a quality machine for my business needs. Again, "so far, so good.
