Nice laptop, the internal soundcard isn't the best and the fan runs pretty loud. With that said, thus far it's running nice. I am not a gamer and this is used 99% music production. Even using my external audio card their seems to be some conflict still with internal card. Battery works long enough and the white color is pretty unique.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unbelievably light for a gaming laptop. I bought a business-class laptop along with the Victus and their weight is nearly identical. Great screen, amazingly fantastic sound from the internal speakers. Fan is nice and quiet, barely noticeable even when gaming.
Battery life is fine. I expect the battery to take a beating while gaming but it doesn't last for a day of web browsing and streaming media.
My only real gripe is the fragility of the AC adapter. The AC adapter of the Dell this HP replaced could be used to fend off zombie hoards and still work. I'm worried the AC adapter for the Victus will break if my cat sneezes too loudly.

I have been very underwhelmed with this computer. The screen is smaller than expected and the picture is not nearly as good as it should be for a gaming computer. The battery is the biggest disappointment. It depletes rather fast even in battery saving mode just watching movies.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
