All ice is not the same.

At first I was not happy with this cooler. Bought for a trip from Illinois to Tennessee. Cooled the inside down for two days prior and on the big day added 36 cans of soda. I barely had enough room to add 20 lbs of ice and then off we went. 9 hours to our destination and carried the cooler into the cabin and all the ice was melted. I was not a happy camper. The ice in my other older cooler did not melt much. So coming back cooled the inside down added sodas and some other items all of which were cold then added 15 of ice. 9 hours later carried cooler in side and very little ice had melted. The temperature was the same going both ways and the only thing I could think of was the different ice companies. The drawers did great for keeping items I place in it cool and dry. I gave it a 5 star review for now next month, October, I will know more because of a hunting trip I will be taking. Will let you know if I need to revamp my rating.

it could freeze boiling water in 10 min on the sun

I got this cooler as a gift after Bonnaroo claimed my last cooler (RIP my 2019 Coleman). I attend many music festivals that vary significantly in temperature. Most recently I attended Lost Lands in Ohio. The area is experiencing a historical drought and high temps, the high on several days reached the mid 90's. Between the heat, the unrelenting sun, and the amount of dust in the air conditions were as rough on people as it was on our coolers. This cooler showed no signs of backing down. I had 6 cans of cold foam creamer, burgers, a head of lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, hummus and naan bread, cheese, 20 uncrustables, a few lunchables, cans of soda and alcohol, chocolate and other candies in there for 5 straight days. I was concerned that there wouldn't be much space left after adding the recommended 25lbs of ice, I was quite pleased when it all seemed to fit so nicely. Typically by day 5 I am concerned about the safety of the items remaining, but I had no reason to worry. I've never had so many leftovers coming from a festival. ALSO- this thing cools drinks so fast. I ended up only putting in a drink or two at a time on the top and I swear this thing could freeze boiling water in ten minutes flat on the sun.
Okay, enough about how much I love it. I have a few things I wish I could change about this cooler after its first big adventure. This thing is HEAVY. The box it comes in says to lift with two people and please believe it, my friends and I struggled to lift it in the car and move it around once loaded, it is easy as heck to get around when it's empty though. I'd ultimately love to see a removable attachment I could purchase that would give it some wheels as sometimes I had to maneuver it out of the sun on my own (needless to say I will be going to the gym I guess). My only other issue for the Ninja Design Gods to overcome; on more than one occasion we would stack items in the drawer a bit too high- I may have accidentally lost a tomato in the process due to slamming it on the top bit of the cooler drawer compartment when trying to close it a little too hard. I also noticed if we moved the cooler too much/fast items in the drawers could shift, one day I had to use a pen to reach into the cooler drawer and figure out what was stuck/how to push it down to open the drawers.
And one suggestion- not an issue- I'd love to see a built-in thermostat for the drawer compartment. I used an electronic thermometer to occasionally confirm temps were food safe, but being able to slide the drawer open and see it would be excellent! I believe you guys could find a way to add one without sacrificing drawer space.
Overall, this cooler is one of the best (and most practical) gifts I have received and Ninja has absolutely knocked it out of the park in almost every aspect on this one. Most members of my festival group are now considering one for themselves as their next cooler and I will not shut up about this cooler to anyone who will listen.

We love this!! This cooler is the best. We went on a trip a few months again and had to keep filling our coolers with ice almost eveyother day. We bought this and we only had to buy ice one time! Amazing!! The only think I wish it had was wheels. It is pretty heavy when you stat to load it up.

Lighter than a Yeti. Put 12lbs of ice in it with 24 16oz bottles in 80 + temperature with partial sun. Still had ice and the drawers were refrigerator cold after three days. I’m very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super durable, large capacity and convenient for people that love to fish, picnic, or to take to the beach. It kept my drinks nice and cold for a while and I would say it’s the nicest cooler I’ve ever owned. Would make a great gift as a Father’s Day or Christmas present!

Game-Changer for Outdoor Gear!

I’ve tested a lot of coolers, but the Ninja FrostVault blew me away. It kept ice solid for over 4 days — and that was in high heat during a camping trip. The Dry Zone drawer is a total game-changer for keeping food dry and organized. It’s tough, easy to transport, and clearly built with real users in mind. Whether it’s for the beach, camping, or tailgating, this cooler delivers. Highly recommend.
