LOVE this Angry Monster Truck w/ lights & sounds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were thrilled to receive the Hot Wheels Mega-Wrex R/C Monster Truck. It has 3 stunt modes as well as interactive sounds & lights, which are very cool. There is a red ‘HUNT’ mode, where the monster truck powers up and every time it bumps into something there are lights and sounds. The next mode is “SMASHER” mode, which happens as it bumps into more and more things and it gets louder and has more active lights. (The “eyes”, “teeth”, and wheels all light up. ) In the “GUARD” mode, the truck ‘sleeps’. My kids love to smash it into things to hear the sound effects and make it “angrier” – louder and more lights – and then you can also do cool tricks like wheelies. The truck goes pretty fast and it has good range so that they can drive it all over the yard. The quality of the truck seems very good, it is very bright and colorful and has a lot of detail which is also appealing to my kids. This definitely keeps my kids entertained, and I think it’s fun for a wide age range.
The manual is clear and easy to read and the truck was able to be used almost immediately – it needed to be fully charged first, which only took a short time via the included USB cable. The USB cord is so much more convenient than batteries, since my kids play with this constantly. When you plug it in to recharge, the eyes flash and then turn solid green to indicate it is fully charged. A nice touch is that the USB charging cord hides in a little compartment on the underside of the truck – so it never gets lost! The remote is small and easy for a young kid to hold, understand and use.

Mega Wrex RC is Really Cool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Mega Wrex RC is awesome! My son pretended the Dino- themed car ripped its way out of the box and didn’t put the controller down until the battery needed recharging! The alive and smash modes add extra fun to this RC car, and made my son laugh every time it was activated. The guard mode when the RC is charging made it easier to convince my son to let the Mega Wrex “rest” as he enjoyed watching it cycle through its light up colors. Great RC, my son has played with it for an hour or more for this first week of having it. Great for imagination as well as learning how to control an RC. Highly Reccomend!

Amazing monster truck

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hot Wheels Monster RC Truck is large and nicely made from high quality materials. The truck is robust and rugged feeling, but the small controller works for younger kids.
The truck re-charges via USB, but the remote uses traditional alkaline batteries. The truck is a lot of fun and easy for my 6-year-old to use. He's been using it indoors on the carpeting in our living room. It drives easily over the carpeting, and even some blocks and small toys he has scattered about as obstacles. He also took it for drive outside on our deck. On the front there is a "bumper" that plays sound effects when hit. The truck can do tricks by popping up on its rear wheels. There are bright lights in the wheels and windows.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great interactive r.c. car. The r.c. car itself is rechargeable via usb which is a battery saver as my child LOVES this toy. The remote control takes 2 AAA. I like how it lights up the room as it charges and that the eyes glow green when the car is fully charged. It has 3 stunt modes and depending on the mode is how fast the car will go. Smash mode is our favorite as it goes the fastest! The led lights are a nice touch and interact based on the mode and actions you are doing. The remote control is easy for my child to use and understand and has a good range.

Five Year Old Approved!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this awesome monster truck for my 5 year old son just in time for his birthday. He is obsessed with all things RC cars. We have a lot of different types of RC cars and he was thrilled with this one.
The RC truck is pretty large in size right around 12". The quality of the truck seems very good. We have played with it for a while hitting walls and other objects and nothing looks different. The lights on this truck are a very fun part of the build. The eyes, teeth, body and wheels light up. My son was definitely impressed by the lights. It has a nice speed as well not too fast for kids but fast enough to keep them impressed.
The remote is easy to use as well and small in size. I think a small remote is perfect for kids hands.
This monster truck has three different modes. I think this helped hold my sons interest a little longer. The purpose of the truck is to smash it into different things with the front to get him mad. The more you smash the angrier the truck gets. When he gets angrier his colors change, then he goes into the different modes and you can go faster and do cool tricks like wheelies.
Also this truck uses a USB-C charger to recharge the truck that is attached to the bottom of the truck. You will never lose it lol. You will need 2AAA for the remote.
All in all this is an awesome RC truck keeps kids entertained for awhile.

Fun for the whole family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a great remote control monster truck. From the moment we opened up the box, it was fun for the whole family. My 5 year old instantly got expired song the monster truck and trying to control it. My husband had a great time making it do tricks. And my youngest kids thought it was so funny when my oldest and husband was making the truck chase after them. There's fun sounds effects to go along with it. Also, the truck doesn't need batteries and comes with a rechargeable usb cord which is super convenient. And the controller can be attached to the bottom of the truck when storing away, so you don't lose it. Overall, great quality truck and fun for everyone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hot Wheels Monster Truck Mega Wrex is a fantastic toy right out of the box. The paint job and fierce character design are impressive. Unboxing was straightforward with only a few pieces to undo. The package includes the controller, a manual, and a short charging cable inside the car. The manual is clear and easy to read, though the cable could be a bit longer.
The toy connected quickly and was ready to use almost immediately. The lights function perfectly, and it came fully charged. The voice and sound effects are excellent. When the truck turns red and enters hunter mode, it's a total blast. The trick button and response work exactly as intended. The wheels are responsive and turn appropriately without needing any tuning.
Overall, I am very happy with this toy. It's simple, engaging, colorful, and easy to use.

Mega Wrex comes alive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This remote control is so much fun! My son already loves the Hot Wheels Mega Wrex truck.... but now it literally comes alive! Easy enough for my son to control himself - fun enough for the whole family to play with. Mega Wrex crashes into objects to fill up his meter and then you can hit the button for Mega Wrex to drive really fast and pull a wheelie! Easy to charge and very durable. One of our favorite features is the remote plugs into the base of the truck for easy storage.
