What a disappointment

It's my son's birthday today and we had bought him one of these. He opened it, we put batteries in and it rolled forward about 30cm before stopping and wouldn't move anymore, thought the exploding feature still does. So we sent our upset boy off to school with promises of getting him another one by this afternoon. We returned it to the store but they didn't have anymore in stock. Drove for half an hour the other direction and got another. Brought it home to test, it rolled forward about 20cm and won't move again. If you hold the stick forward you can hear a faint tick sound of gears trying to engage but it doesn't move. Again the "explode" feature still works but that really is a lame "explode". Now I have to go and return another one and hope my son isn't too disappointed that one of his presents was a piece of junk,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

RC Creeper is a blast!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Minecraft RC Creeper is a must for Minecraft fans or anyone really, definitely a blast of fun! It's large and pretty quick, even on carpet. It has an easy to use controller that looks like a little TNT which my son loved. When it zooms across the floor it's legs move which give it the appearance it's actually running instead of rolling. Half the controller controls the forward/backward motion, the other half operates the sounds, lights and main explosion! If you hold the button down the head pops off while an explosion sounds and the light goes from a bright blue to color changing. If you only press the button without holding it down it still sounds but without the heading popping off. It comes with 10 smoke cutouts that will rain out when the head explodes off. It can be played with or without the smoke cutouts, also drives with or without it's body all put together. When it "explodes" apart it is very easy for smaller hands to reassemble without any help. It definitely kept my youngest sons attention, and his teenage siblings enjoyed playing with it too!

Is your child obsessed with Minecraft? Get this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have a child who is obsessed with Minecraft, you absolutely have to get the MINECRAFT Exploding RC Creeper! This remote-controlled Creeper is ready for play as soon as you insert some AA batteries. My eight-year-old LOVES this toy!
It works best on hardwood floors. The remote control allows you to move the Creeper in any direction, and it features lights and sound effects that enhance the experience. Inside the Creeper, there are 10 explosion particles that launch into the air when it "explodes."
My son enjoys chasing us with this Creeper and waiting for the perfect moment to make it explode, which often catches us off guard and gives us a good scare! He figured out how to use it very quickly. The toy seems to be well-made and is easy to put back together after it explodes. Overall, it's a fantastic toy that brings a lot of joy and excitement!

Perfect for the Minecraft lovers in your life!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a big Minecraft fan in this house and he loves this toy! My boys love to challenge each other with all the remote control items in the house! My youngest has commandeered the head and hidden it somewhere. That’s the only downside to this item it is easy to misplace if you have littles in your house. It has really sturdy wheels and gets around well on carpet and laminate or tile! The sound effects are a lot of fun as well. I would definitely recommend this toy if your kiddos enjoy Minecraft.

Fun for a short time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old son saw this and in his words "just had to have it." The exploding part is what really got his attention. The things that "explode" out of the head are just little thin cardboard pieces. It is easy for my son to put the pieces in and put the head back on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Minecraft lovers will love this toy. the remote is even on theme. the right side controls the creeper and the left side button will make it explode. the particles that fly out are cardboard, I do wish they were some type of thin plastic or something else so they can last. it's also a little loud when rolling around. however, this is a fun toy and the kids love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Minecraft Brought to Our Driveway!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8-year-old son is a huge fan of Minecraft and was super excited to get this! He especially loved the explosion function and the hissing sound effect that precedes it, though I personally found the hissing to be a bit loud and grating. The toy also quickly became difficult to close after exploding, and would stop exploding without a physical nudge to accompany the button press. I’m not sure if that is from wear and tear, but we had only used it for a few minutes before it became a consistent problem. Our son also didn’t care much for the controls, which only go straight forward or backwards at an angle to “turn”, though he warmed up to them. Lastly, the creeper did have trouble navigating bumps, so be sure to use it on smooth surfaces!
