Well built electric bike

It's a well built sturdy bike. I do have a few concerns though. The pedal stroke is too low to the ground. If you don't move the bottom pedal up part way it will hit the ground when turning corners. The handle bars should be able to be adjusted higher. I'm 6'1" tall which means I have to raise my seat. This means that the handle bars are too low and I'm having to put too much of my upper body weight on my arms and wrists. This shouldn't happen with a commuter bike. I also wish that the tires were thinner. The big tires make the bike harder to steer. The seat is pretty uncomfortable.

I like several things about this bike from the bike I am upgrading (competition). First is the battery and how long it lasts. I can go for miles without losing any degradation. Next is the torque that the motor has. Enough for you to feel but not overly ambitious. Next is the Shammano gearing, which is perfect for this bike. Last but not forgotten, the power and help when climbing hills.

I love my new bike. I’m a 60 year woman with a history of leisure riding most of my life - 3 to 5 days a week, 4-5 miles. My happy time. This year I had a major lung disease emerge and am on O2 24/7 now. I was despondent about losing my ability to ride. The Velotric magically appeared in my Facebook feed and I was intrigued. My biggest feature was weight limit and strength. This is one of the few bikes that will carry more than 250lbs - which is cutting it close for me w the 02 on board. It arrived really quick - I assembled myself - easy peasy. Went riding that night and haven’t looked back. Game changer in my new circumstance. It’s so wonderful!! Fun, easy, comfortable. Go for it!

I highly recommend this bike. I have bad knee problems but I am able to ride this without having to pedal that much if I dont have to. The battery last a long time on a charge and I have not had any problem with distance or speed.
