I purchased 3 of these and they all bricked themselves. No LEDs light, the fan won't run, just totally unresponsive. One ran a bit longer than the others but it has given up the ghost as well. What a shame... I've got 6 other Classic Blue air units that have been rock solid for years. What has happened to this company?

Stopped Working After 2 Days

I bought the Blueair 511i max. It worked well for 2 days. After that, I could no longer power on the unit. I tried all of the steps that Blueair recommends on their website if the unit cannot be powered on. None of these steps worked. I returned the unit and bought another purifier from a different manufacturer.

Worked fine UNTIL I changed the filter. Hasn't worked properly since. Service department only gives scripted answers. No help air all!

Works on cooking smells,but not poop.

Bought specifically to keep in a bathroom area that stays stinky. We have it set to “auto” so most of the time the indicator light is blue and the fan is running at a low speed. It picks up cooking odors from several rooms away and the fan immediately ramps up to compensate. Doesn’t seem to detect pooping odors right next to it though, as the fan does not ramp up, and the light stays blue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this air purifier. I cook with a gas stove and feel really good about how it cleans the air in our home so quickly. Even with running the fan on the stove, the indicator light on the air purifier turns red, and it will until the air is in our home is pure blue once more!
