Always ready and plenty of power for trimming

Saws that are too big - be they gas or electric - often convince us to skip a trimming job that will only take a minute or two. A big branch hanging over a mowed game trail or the backyard fence - let’s do it now, and this smaller light saw encourages that. An 8” tree down on the driveway to a hunting shack was no problem, but the more common use is trimming saplings and heavy brush, including tree stand branches that are a pain to cut with anything less, not to mention pulling to start a saw well off the ground. Folks often look at an electric tool and think the bigger the better when it comes to batteries, but why? If a 20 volt will do just fine why lug a heavier 48 volt battery around? Folks with a big back yard and the need to cut up branches regularly, or sportsmen cutting shooting lanes and keeping trails open will find this sized saw about right. It’s doesn’t leak bar oil, the chain tightens easily, and the battery runs long enough to handle trimming chores. Plus it’s priced right.

I bought this because I needed a larger saw than my Jawsaw. I was unable to get the chain to tighten up properly. So I chose to return it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The chainsaw is excellent in that it is portable and easy to maneuver. This is the first chainsaw that I’ve owned, so I don’t have anything else to reference. I used it to cut the tree limbs and it handled it like a champ! The only reason why I don’t give it 5 stars is because the chain would sometimes come off the track for the thicker branches. It was not a big deal, but more of a nuisance.

I bought this chain saw to cut up downed trees. I am female, 76 years old and 108#. The saw cut through tree trunks like they were butter. Easy to handle weight of saw, battery lasted hours on charge. This saw is made to handle vertical and horizontal cuts. No issues with saw or chain during cutting. This saw has a chain break and stops immediately when engaged. So glad I made this investment. I highly recommend the Worx chain saw.

Just got this thing. Opened box, installed chain (2 minutes) added oil and installed battery (2 minutes) knocked down 8" cedar tree and bucked up for firewood (20 minutes). Weighs way less than the 20" Husky, no gas to mess with, cuts nearly as fast, way quieter, all around easier for small jobs. Love this thing. Oh yeah, same battery as all my other Worx stuff.

I have large property and purchased the electric WORX as a supplement to gas powered woods tools. To my surprise I only reach for the gas guns when absolutely necessary. The electric WORX far surpassed my expectations being super light, plenty powerful, and battery life is not an issue. For knocking down branches, limbs, smaller trees....the WORX performs extremely well.
