Run time is too short

Chicago finally had snow yesterday and today. About 5" yesterday and only 2-3" today. Very cold temperatures so the snow wasn't heavy or slushy. My driveway is 90' but only a single car wide so I expected the blower to easily clear the snow with one battery charge. Yesterday I was out of power when I reached the driveway's apron and today I finished the driveway but didn't have enough power to clear the sidewalk. Both days the total runtime was about 15 minutes and I had expected about 30 minutes. Disappointing performance.

Hello Valued Customer. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback, as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. The Worx snowblower is average to run up to 15-20 minutes per charge. It is recommended to snow blow during or after the snow falls as the snow tends to harden and get icy over time. The snowblower will operate more efficiently during "dry/fluffy" snow periods than wet/heavy or icy snow. We recommend purchasing an additional battery for added runtime to tackle more significant tasks. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact our Solution Center Team at 866-354-9679 Monday through Friday from 9 am until 6 pm EST. We'd be more than happy to assist you.

Works well with non-heavy snow. Burns the batteries very quickly in heavy snow.

Does not like wet heavy snow, turning the chute is cumbersome, and freezes up. Battery life marginal.

Hello Valued Customer. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback, as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. It is recommended to snow blow during or after the snow falls as the snow tends to harden and get icy over time. The snowblower will operate more efficiently during "dry/fluffy" snow periods rather than wet/heavy or icy snow. The snowblower runtime varies depending on the size and how much snow a customer has on their property. It's average to run up to 15-25 minutes before it will need to go through another charge cycle. For larger task areas, I do recommend purchasing extra batteries. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it twice in snow that was HEAVY and already had snow on the ground. It really threw the snow! It is a manual push, but it is light, so I had no problem navigating it. You get to control how deep to the ground you want to use it. We already had packed snow on the driveway and I was able to push it to the concrete. Yes, you have to have a bit of muscle power if you are going to the concrete, but I love it. My boyfriend was skeptical, but he took it to his mom's house and came back with, "Okay, it is good. Great purchase". I'll take that compliment.
The instructions are just pictures, so it threw me for a loop. Once I figured it out, I think a five year old can do this. Just remember the orange attachments ARE the screwdrivers, per se. Could not find a video showing how to put it together. I might have been over thinking it. I use my Worx leaf blower to remove the snow from it and I bought a Dollar Tree toilet brush to clear out the chute and clear out the snow from the auger. Batteries did my entire driveway and sidewalks. Just purchased more batteries so I don't have to wait for the re-charge. Have an attached two car garage. Four cars can fit in driveway as a point of reference of area. One improvement I would make is not having the lights come on automatically to save on battery life; should have a button to turn them on if using at night. Easy to go over lawn to make a walkway to shed. You get to control the depth of what you want to throw. As a 53 year old, this is perfect. This is my 13th Worx product and EVERYTHING I have bought has been fantastic. Great product all around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used twice this season. First time the batteries lasted for half the driveway. The second time was less snow but was able to finish on one charge. It is still a job. But better then shoveling. Self propelled would be nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a good snowblower. Assembly was a little difficult since the ring for the shoot didn't line up. Had to call Worx for assistance. It was a struggle to line up the ring holes for the shoot assembly. The discharge shoot's long handle refuses to move so we need to adjust shoot manually which is an inconvenience but doable. In addition Worx should consider extending the handle or include an extender for us tall people. On balance it seems to be a good snowblower and having it work on batteries is an added plus especially for us senior citizens.
