A great face lotion that will help protect from the sun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now that I’ve spent some time with this one (had to wait for the sun to come out in the Midwest), I feel like I can finally give it a proper review.
Firstly, keep in mind that this product has a DUAL function as a lotion AND sunscreen. I say that in order to view it properly. It isn’t simply one or the other so the pros and cons of both have to be considered.
Therefore, as a dual-function product, I think this one is great. Duke Cannon has always done well with branding and their prices are very accessible.
For this product, specifically. I really liked the texture and feel of the cream on and in skin. It definitely does not wear heavy, nor does it leave the skin feeling clammy or dirty. It has a slight scent, albeit a generic face cream type (which I prefer). It didn’t make my face break out, and the feel of my skin afterwards did not feel overly dry or undernourished, as with some products.
The cons would be that OBVIOUSLY it’s not made with complete all-natural 100% safe for everyone ingredients. However, for the price you are paying, it definitely has more quality ingredients than I was expecting. The zinc oxide concentration, aloe, and caffeine are all ingredients I look for in a sunscreen.
Although I typically prefer a higher SPF in my facial sunscreens, this one would function perfectly as a daily user during a normal schedule day.
I definitely recommend this one and am glad I was able to discover it; thanks Influenster!

It’s more of a sunscreen than an everyday face lotion. Perfect if you’re going to the beach or lake and really need sunscreen. Be prepared for it to leave a thick white residue with just a small amount applied, especially if you have a beard or scruff. Smells great. Cool concept, but fails to live up to the potential of an everyday face lotion. Better than their old stuff.

Great sun protection and moisturizer

I have enjoyed being able to do outdoor activities with a moisturized face and protection from harmful UV rays. The product applies and absorbs into the skin easily, which I enjoy as it doesn’t leave streaks on your face. I would recommend to others.

Protection =great, smell needs work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this lotion not just for my face but to protect my tattoos. What makes this so amazing is the protection from the sun without the greasiness of other sun screens. It is long lasting and great for sensitive skin. It is very dry feeling to the touch while giving a silky feeling after application. It is amazing how your skin will absorb it and feel moisturized to the touch. The only issue I have is the smell. It is strong and what I can only describe as a “manly” scent. This can be toned down and I would say this was perfect but for now it is just very good.
