A good bike...with one exception

Overall, a good bike with features not usually found in its price range. One glaring flaw would be the throttle limiting your speed to the assist level that you are in. When you need to cross a busy intersection you have to move your assist level to #5 to get across quickly. Maybe it's something that you will get used to, but it is NOT a good setup. I have owned 4 other e-bikes and none of them were like this. When you wanted full throttle you had it regardless of the assist level.

So far I think the bike is excellent. I took it out for a 25-mile trip this past Saturday and it surpassed my expectations. The only things I could find problems with are the things that your reviewers on YouTube found. these are, the battery display needs a percentage option, and it would be nice if the throttle was accessible for a faster speed than the preprogrammed e-assist. Not by any means a deal breaker on the bike but it would be a nice thing to upgrade if you have the capability to do so.

Velotric Nomad 1: Affordable Fat Tire Fun

I recently purchased the Velotric Nomad 1 and I’m very happy with my purchase. The bike is easy enough to assemble without any skill or prior bike knowledge. The hydraulic brakes are a great feature and the 750W rear hub motor with 1,200W peak provides ample power and speed even on an incline. I’m glad to have found this bike after surviving a heart attack last year and post-surgery on a hip replacement. It’s been a great way for me to stay active and healthy while enjoying the outdoors.

It’s the Perfect Fat Tire E-Bike!!!!!

I purchased the Nomad step through a few weeks ago. I gave it 4 stars because it didn’t have an integrated tail /brake light. We liked that bike so much, we ordered a Nomad High Step and to my surprise when I unboxed it, Velotric has now added a tail /brake light to this bike now. Awesome and Amazing! This company really listens to their customers! Way to go Velotric. I’d give you 10 stars if I could. I’m really loving this bike!!!! Now how about sending me a Thunder 1 to evaluate.

Nomad is Not Bad

Awesome Bike. I'm a big guy (230 lbs) and I live in a very hilly area. This is my second Ebike and this bike rocks these hills. I rode a 12 mile ride with a pannier of gear on some very hilly terrain and still have over 80% left on my battery. Granted I stayed in P1 for the workout, but still, my other bike would be at 40% or less after this kind of ride! It's very comfortable and looks like a million, too.

I love my Nomad but.......

So I absolutely love my Nomad, I can't take it anywhere without people complimenting the bike, asking questions, neighbors who are shopping for one want to ride it, etc. It is well made, easy to learn everything that is on the bike. I've done a few long rides, no discomfort, easy to use. I got the step thru, I heavily endorse that model, especially in older folks (I'm 67). prevents Presidential style bike wrecks. Ok so I said, I love my Nomad but. Here's the but - the control unit, the nerve center of the bike where you can see your distance, miles you've ridden, speed - that screen is exceptionally fragile. My bike fell over sitting on some concrete and my screen shattered on like the third ride. Wish there was an otterbox or some other way to toughen that thing up. ALSO, I wish Velotric would start selling parts online. Luckily for me I'm in Tampa and I have an INCREDIBLE dealer nearby who can order any parts I need but I have to say, I would love to be able to order whatever I need directly and work on it myself.
