Pros: Built to last. Heavy duty! Comfortable to ride! Great price!Cons: The acceleration is excessively high, providing too much power for smooth acceleration. Unlike most e-bikes that offer a nice, gradual increase in speed, the Nomad 1's acceleration is jarring and can make you feel unstable or at risk of crashing into nearby objects. Additionally, when you're attempting to slow down and require just a slight increase in distance, even a slight tap on the throttle or step on the pedal propels you forward like a rocket. While this level of acceleration may be beneficial in a racing scenario, it is often excessive in everyday situations. Another drawback is its considerable weight, which slightly hampers maneuverability during turns. However, this issue is not particularly severe.

Awesome bike!

Our friends got e bikes to take their kids on rides. So for a few months we've been contemplating on getting some ourselves. Since I'm leaving a review I think you could guess we ended up getting a couple. I tend to go down the rabbit hole on researching for big purchases. And after countless hours on YouTube and Google searches I decided on getting a couple of Nomad 1's for the family. The torque and acceleration is amazing! We've put about 10 miles on them so far (so not much) but are still between 80-100% on the battery. That's taking into account hitting the throttle at PAS 5 and riding with our children. By the way, if you are looking for a child seat for the Nomad 1 we ended up getting the Burley extended rails child bike seat. Seems to be the only one that fits, given the fat tire and height of the tire. The few rides we've done we've gotten other people on E bikes asking what kind of bikes we have and contemplating us on the aesthetics on the bikes. Can't agree with them more because these are really clean looking bikes. They don't look like they were built in someone's garage with spare parts. So far so good on the Nomad!

I’ve rode it for a total of 40 miles . Comfortable ride , the screw for the front fender kept falling out I replaced it with one from the spare parts and then that one came off as well. The back fender rattles when I’m going fast through hills . Have yet to pin point If it’s rattling due to hitting on the tire or the lower part of the seat . For the price I’d love a nice quiet and smooth ride . But other than that I’m excited to keep exploring trails with it

First experience with an e-bike

When I began to consider the purchase of an e-bike I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of information available on the internet. I focused my attention and began the process of determining the best e-bike for my intended uses. After an exhaustive examination I arrived at the Velotric Nomad I. Deciding to purchase one for both my wife and I for our anniversary, we couldn’t be happier. Everything has gone perfectly, from purchase to first ride.
