Great pack/bag. No cheap breakable parts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This duffel/backpack hybrid is SSOO well made. The materials, stitching, zippers, handles, loops, and metal hooks are all high HIGH quality. The thing that I like the most is that there are no plastic buckles. All of the places that a buckle would go, hip and chest srtap, use a metal hook and loop system. No carrying extra parts and wondering if something will break. I also like the use of magnates to hide the hip support strap. Very clever. The bag itself holds a lot of stuff and is perfect for camping, traveling, or trowing your ropes and gear into a bag. The cargo bay door system keep the bag open so that it is easy to load and unload. Over all, this a great pack. If you are looking for a large and versatile bag, that isn't a dedicated hiking bag, this is it.

Almost perfect

This is a great bag and can be used in so many different circumstances from day trips to long hauls. Looks fantastic, feels fantastic and is so functional. Solid build also, doesn't fell cheap at all. The only down side to this bag is that the hip strap (the part that connects the two actual hip straps) can't be tightened more. I've got about a 31 inch waste and am a normal build but even at it's tightest setting it doesn't fit tight enough to make the hip straps offer much support. Other than that this bag is wonderful.

Almost perfect, but I still Love it

Ok so I love how comfortable this bag sits on me. Im a 5"5 110 female and I couldn't be happier at how easy it is for me to lug this around on my back. The other things I love, outside pockets, sleek design and rugged material.
Now for the things I dont really love about the bag (because I like writing Honest reviews)
1: The way the bag zips open and close kind of annoys me a bit. Originally when I first pledged on Kickstarter they had the bag opening wide mouth with the corners of the zippers free so that you can really pack it up and still open it wide to get inside of the bag. They unfortunately changed it halfway through and the corners are now permanently attached to the rest of the bag making it aesthetically pleasing but kind of space waisting and hard to really get in there if its really packed with stuff. Now when i open the bag its tough to keep it open to easily grab or search for items even with the "clam shell like" opening.
2: The expansion is a love hate relationship. The expansion with no camera cubes inside is amazing, Giving you so much more space. But once you put the camera cubes in they fit nicely while in normal size but once you expand it, since the zippers are at the bottom now the cubes dont sit properly (they wont touch the bottom of the bag) and your items inside will migrate to under the camera cubes. I wish there were another set of loops in order to keep this from happening.
4: I also wish there were more inside pockets, or bigger ones.

Don't leave home without it

I bought the Duffel when it was released after looking for a versatile and practical bag for travelling. It's gone everywhere with me since, from short stays to international travel. The multiple handles make it easy to move it around and when you need to cover some ground on foot the shoulder straps fold out to keep your hands free. Another key feature for me is the expansion which really extends its area of application. All this with the very high quality finish and fixtures that you expect from PD. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag is great! I use it for clothing and such while traveling. It fits in the overhead bins on the airplane and provides ample space inside for clothing, shoes, etc. When you get off the plane, you just wear it like a back pack and away you go. It's great, to have both hands free while going through the airport. The zippers are good and strong, the fabric is durable and water resistant. You can adjust the size of it also, unzip some zippers and the bag becomes deeper. The shoulder straps are comfortable and it also has a waist strap that tucks away when not being used. There are also giant pockets on both sides to stuff stuff as well, they have a magnet system to keep them closed. I like it a lot, highly recommend.

Best Travel Backpack

This bag does exactly what it's supposed to, and it looks good doing it! Really easy to access the interior, solid zippers and material and most importantly its easy to wear around all day, fully loaded. Sits comfortably on shoulders and back (I'm 6' 200lbs, broad torso) without throwing off my center of gravity.
I definitely recommend this bag for backpackers and business trips. The black shows dirt immediately, so if you're planning on checking the bag on an airplane, or stowing it under a bus; get a travel/rain cover for the bag, or go with the green ( we got that one too, it's still sleek).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We do a lot of traveling both in the car and on airplanes. When you do it that often you get to know how valuable bags are that expand, have lots of storage compartments and balance weight nicely. This bag does all of that and is so easy to carry on you back or hold! Well built straps and doesn't hurt your back even if you have it completely stuffed with things. The color is great too. Nice olive color so not to show much dirt that gets picked up while traveling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great travel bag! I travel often for 2-3 days at a time and this really helps. It has soft sides but it’s not thin and flimsy. It’s also expandable and really holds a lot. The shoulder straps make it easy to carry hands-free. It’s well-made and I highly recommend!!
