I've been looking for a bag like this for ages and this finally checks all of the boxes. Side entry is great, it has some organization without being over the top, and generally it looks nice. I have a few minor criticisms though.
1. I wish it came with a rain fly. The top isn't water proof so a built in rain cover would be a nice. 2. The way the straps attach to the bag at the top just feel weak. Instead of the swivels, I wish they were just like quadruple stitched to the bag. They are comfortable, but not confidence inspiring. 3. Opening the side zippers is a bit stiff when going over some of the curved/angled parts. I assume this will break in over time though.
Otherwise, awesome bag. I have the 30L and it's the perfect size for my daily commute where I have a camera, laptop, lunch, and usually a change of clothes.

Awesome Camera Bag
on January 9, 2020

I own the 30L V1 Ash, I used it for my camera gear, I love it, but when I saw there was a V2 with so many improvements I decided to get it, I bought the 30L Midnight color. I am going to list the differences I noticed, both positive and negative in comparison with the V1:
Pros: - It is lighter, on my most recent trip I added an extra lens and didn't feel I was carrying more than before. - The straps are so much more comfortable, when carrying too much gear I used to get a bit of pain on my shoulders and neck, with V2 I didn't feel that. - The support in the back is thinner and I feel it is more comfortable. - No hip belt, I never really used it so it is less weight for me to carry and it is not taking space from the side pockets when stored. - I can store more in the top part and the bag does not lose its shape like in V1. - New rounded shape is so much nicer looking and the new magnetic straps holds are amazing.
Cons: - No hip belt, but price was the same and now if you need it you have to buy it separately. - Side pockets are bigger but it would be better if they extended a bit more, because if you have a big lens inside that takes space from the pocket. This was also an issue in V1. - Front magnetic sleeve where straps are stored is smaller. I used to use it to store a rain cover there, but in V2 it doesn't fit as well as it used to in V1. - Side handles in the V1 Ash version used to be leather, giving it a nicer look, now only the top one has leather.

Everyday Backpack for Every One
on January 10, 2020

Is this an amazing backpack for camera gear? YES! But is is also a great backpack for everything else you need to carry around with you as well. I have had many bags, backpacks etc to carry my camera gear and other life stuff and I've found that the bags either excelled at one or the other, not both either they were great at holding, storing camera stuff and not much else or vice versa
The Peak Design Everyday Backpack excels at both. I bought the 30L model and took it on vacation with my family to Europe. As a dad, I tend to be the one to carry “the stuff”: water, mini umbrellas, jackets, hats, snacks, travel books, maps, phone chargers, batteries, aspirin, tissues and more. PLUS my camera gear.
Being an enthusiast I have my DSLR camera body, usually two lenses, batteries, cards, mini tripod and misc gear (just in case)
All of this needs to fit comfortably on my back, be accessible and manageable so that it does not interfere with various walking tours, museum visits, sight seeing, meals and can allow me to hop on and off various forms of transportation like buses and metros etc.
All while being able to grab a shot and keep up with the family. Peak Design allowed all this and more. And to do it in comfort and style and get my hands on whatever I or my family needed. I also had room in the 30L to store the occasional souvenirs and postcard.
This is a comfortable, accessible, well designed backpack where they thought a space for everything. Worth the money.

Da Bomb!

I have purchased Peak Design gear before and the quality and innovation just keeps getting better. This is by far my favorite purchase from Peak Design. I love not only the style of it, but the sturdiness and the ease of use. I can carry just the right amount of camera gear around knowing it's safely tucked away and assured that I'll have plenty of space to bring what I need on any given photoshoot. Y'all are the best!

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL OF MY LIFE!

My wife gives me a hard time telling me that I am on "A Quest" for the perfect bag. I thought I had found Nirvana with a military-style bag that is comfortable and versatile but lacking in some areas; one problem is professional presentation. When I bought my 30L V2 Black, my wife said..."Here we go again". But I think it is the best bag I've found. It is incredible how much computer gear I can stuff I can cram into this bag. A quick list of pros and cons - Pros: It is a beautiful design. You can easily carry this to an interview or client site without looking like you just came up from mom's basement. I've had the bag for about three weeks, and so far it seems very well constructed. Easy access to every cubic centimeter of storage. Even when overpacked (I topped it out at 22kg one day!) it is still convenient to carry. FINALLY!! A backpack that actually stands up on its own. The magnetic closures and strap storage are fantastic. All of the carrying points and stowage points make it very versatile. Cons: It would be nice to have some pencil sleeves and maybe another hidden storage under the front flap. It would be nice to have some outside storage, a small pocket or two on the front or something. Overall, excellent product. I would easily recommend this to anyone that carries techie or camera gear — also, thanks to @MKBHD - Marques Brownlee segment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOp3L2OTG6g. Terrific recommendation segment.

Terrific bag that's well thought out

I have been debating about buying this bag for over a year. After a ton of research and gaining a huge amount of respect for the brand I went for it and couldn't be happier.
The organization is well thought out and perfectly executed. I can access 100% of what I keep in the bag incredibly easily. This bag holds a ton but everything feels accessible. I love how compact it is when I don't need to carry a lot, but also how much it can hold when expanded.
I actually can't think of a bad thing to say about this bag.

Great for getting through security quickly.

This is my go to theme park bag, and 3 out of 4 times I get complements from the guard who examines the bag. They're so impressed when I open both sides and they only need to take a quick glance and let me through. So if you want to get through the security line fast this is the perfect bag for you.

Everyday 20L is my first PD company bag. It really looks like his name. I put my camera in the bag and take it out every day.
