I bought this mainly as backpack for college. The added benefits were for weekend National Guard drills and short trips. This backpack is perfect for the way I organize and the amount of items I pack. The travel backpack was a bit uncomfortable the first two days for me but once I got used to it, it was comfortable for my body frame. My weight is 170lb, height 5'7, and male. My 3 main issues with the bag. 1st most important needed update. The two water bottle pockets are too tight and small when you fill up the bag to be able to fit 32oz nalgene or yeti water bottles. I ended up losing my nalgene do to this. 2nd the top small front pocket has perfect organization for me but I wish it was a bit deeper. 3rd the bottom magnetic pouch could of be a amazing storage addition but I don't feel secure in trusting the magnets. Peak designs needs to add a zipper in this pouch.
Overall. I love this bag even with the issue I have. Please update this design so I can purchase more for my friends and family as gifts or to recommend.

Bought the 45L bag to use a functional carry on with travel as well as an everyday work backpack to carry my laptop, electronics, and a change of clothes. It does everything I need in a backpack. Pretty reasonably priced, and I highly recommend.

I have used my 45L travel backpack a few times since I bought it and this is no doubt the most well-made backpack I’ve ever owned! It is a well thought out product as all Peak Design items are. I bundled a large camera cube for my photo gear and it works great for easy access and storage!

Great backpack made in USA

Great design and excellent build quality. I picked up the 45L Travel Backpack in Coyote, and it’s both roomy and incredibly versatile. This is actually my second Peak Design bag . I’ve been a big fan of the Everyday Backpack too. One thing I’m still unclear about: the Coyote version is advertised as “made in the USA,” but the tag on mine says “Made in Vietnam.”

45L Travel Backpack after 5+ years

One of my all time favorite pieces of gear. It's extremely versatile. I've used it on weekend trips, as well as month long international trips. The backpack held up great over 5+ years of heavy use. I finally had an issue with a zipper, filed a warranty claim, and PD sent a new bag right away. Incredible product and company.

I bought this a few years ago for a 2 week trip to Italy. Awesome bag that works great! Love that it can expand or contract depending on the duration of my trip!

Used it a couple of times. Lots of possibilities and configurations that are useful depending on the context. The demo video helps a lot to familiarize. Have used all but the side access. Perfect for a trip of a few days. Cons: in order to access the 2 sides of storage, you need to flip the bag and make sure you've closed the other side. It's a bit of an exercise... And all the versatility comes at a price: the overall internal storage is a bit smaller than what you could you expect from the outside volume.
