I used the old Messenger almost every day for years and it was great. I had to change. The new one is different and more modern. I like it very much.

I was looking for a new messenger to carry my daily needs (cables, laptop, a bottle...); and since I had the Travel Backpack and it is a charm even after 5 years, I decided to get this one.
It would maybe have been great if it would stand a bit better, and the bottle would have a small pouch on the outside, but besides this it is a very nice daily companion, and also a very good personal item on flights.

I have the 6L sling but wanted something a bit bigger for a longer trip. Thought about the 10L sling but decided on the messenger. So glad I did. Much more room and a much better layout for me.

Right size and comfortable fit

I have purchased both the 3L and 6L. My first purchase was the 3L for carry while doing street photography. Just the right size for second Ricoh GR and essentials i.e. batteries, The 6L injust recently purchased to carry while doing macro to carry extra lenes. Both the 3L and 6L are very well made, comfortable carry strap and as a bonus look nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i have purchased a lot of bags professionally over the years but always come back to this one as an easy carry for a pro body with lens attached, a tele and a wide angle plus a flash. Perfect size for it and prevents you from over packing. Still looks as good as new after many years of use.

Improved on version 1 in some areas

So I got this bag under a warranty claim on my version 1 messenger bag so can compare directly. The bag is nice and feel very sturdy. It should last the test of time. They've done away with the rubber on the strap which is what caused me to claim on my warranty from version one so this is a welcome change. The new inserts are better and have more configurations than version 1 and are more sturdy. Downsides to this bag is I think it's about 20% smaller than version 1. The front pocket is substantially smaller and they've done away with the red and green stitching on the pockets which was great for knowing which pockets contained used memory cards and batteries and which were good to go. They've replaced that with a notch or light grey stick hinge and a notch of dark grey.. so I guess you'll have to decide which one means which and remember it.

This is my fourth bag from PD, they keep getting better.I have the backpack, the duffel and the messenger, and they each serve a need. Upgraded this from my extremely well used original messenger, and the upgrades are welcome.

I am able to pack everything I need for work, including my lunch. I like the option to attach the capture clip as well!
