Perfect Design

This tote is perfectly designed, which is great because I’m tough on my gear. The handle fits over my shoulder (I’m 5’6”) or as a carry with just the right amount of wiggle room. I pack this in my crossbody bag and use it for grocery and farmers market runs. It also works as a purse when I leave the office for lunch and don’t want to bring my backpack. The padding on the handle is great to give it grip and keep it from cutting into my hand.

I've been looking for a packable bag for the longest time and this is the first one I've been able to find that not only packs up well, but also is made of high quality material.

Good handle

Almost perfect, love the cushion on handle, zipper, and bag material. The only thing I wish that they’d improve is to increase the handle drop so that the bulk of the bag isn’t completely under your arm.

Took this on vacation as my personal item on the plane and was impressed as to its capacity and strength. It came in quite handy as my go to daily bag.

Peak Design New York Edition Tote Bag

I bought this tote bag at the Peak Design store in NYC and it is really cool that they have this location-exclusive product. It folds into a tiny pouch and you can easily carry it around in your pocket until you need to use it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Simple yet very useful

I always travel with a packable totebag because you never know when you have to shop for groceries. Also you have a bag to fill with souvenirs when you get back home!
What I love about this totebag from Peak Design is the zip: you can close the bag so there no chance to spill the content!
What can be improved: it's nice that the handle is padded but it's a bit to sturdy so it's more difficult than my other totebags to pack. I wouldn't mind less padding for more packability!

I almost never write reviews but specially opened the website to write one for this small piece of pure perfection. I have really used the one packable tote I got last year to its limits. Carried everything you can name. Even my laptop - WITHOUT a cover. I have carried it in snow, rain, wind, sun, every weather. It didn't let anything inside neither it let the contents outside. I even once had my coffee cup leak inside this tote, I didn't know until I actually opened it and saw the bag was containing all the liquid inside. The zippers don't let the contents out or in either. I'm gonna get pack of 6 to gift it to everyone i know 😅

Great packable tote

Bought this packable tote for everyday carry and mostly because it has a zip, which a lot of ultralight compact packable totes don't have.
The good: packs down small and easy to repack despite what the shop clerk told me. The best thing is that, unlike all other totes I have, when this is packed full and with heavy guy it doesn't feel heavy when you put it over your shoulder. The soft padding of the straps and the design somehow alleviates a lot of weight and strain and feels genius.
Downside: I may have got a defective bag because after two uses there were two holes in the bottom of my bag, which was disappointing. However after an email to Peak Design they replaced it very quickly under their lifetime warranty and the replacement bag has been absolutely fine with no holes developing, but that said it will be interesting to see how it holds up with months of use.
