I've had a lot of toiletry bags but the larger PD bag has been my favorite. My wish was to have a smaller version for shorter trips and to fit better with my Peak Design Travel Bag. Out of nowhere they announced this bag and I snatched one up as soon as I saw the email.
Three trips later, it is everything I wanted in a smaller toiletry bag-- origami dividers, dedicated toothbrush pouch and washable. The best part is how well it works with my travel bag too. I can have a medium and small cubes then add this at the top of the bag area. It's fantastic!
I’ve taken the 35L duffel on two trips between that and the packing cubes. Everything has Stayed organized and fit easily into the overhead bin space on the plane.
The travel duffle has great features. Multiple carrying options and plenty of pockets. Quality seems top notch. Haven’t had the bag long enough to comment on durability. Only complaint is the hand carry strap isn’t very comfortable. Understand the magnet idea for the hand cary strap but magnets used are too weak to really keep them together. Can use more padding in the hand straps.
Bought this after wasting a lot of money on a North Face equivalent. The design of this bag is extremely well thought out, and the quality speaks for itself once you get your hands on it. Money well spent.
I've always been a fan of duffel bags in terms of flexibility and how much it can hold. The PD Travel Duffel exceeds expectations by being incredibly stylish, convenient, and hold onto way more than you would expect. It's an incredibly high quality bag at a reasonable price when you benchmark it against other name travel brands.
Overall great design. I like the different options available to carry the bag. The different compartments are a great way to keep things organized. Would give a 5/5, but there is one small flaw. The over the shoulder strap is hooked on by a hard plastic hook. This hook broke once (although was quickly fixed thanks to the Peak Design team!). I think it would be optimal if the shoulder strap had metal hooks, identical to the metal hooks for the backpack straps.
