Drop in quality from the old days
on December 12, 2025

The quality of the products have dropped, but not with the overall look and feel - but rather the way it's used. Let's start with the strap. My old bags, the V1s from the Kickstarter days, had a snappiness and a responsiveness to the strap function. If I had a heavy and full backpack or messenger, or a lightly filled field pouch, I could undo the metal strap holder and seamlessly glide the bag into any position. Now I need to fumble and use multiple hands to extend or retract the strap, making it far less seamless than before.
The front pocket feels way too tight and while it functions, its options are limited. The interior accessories pocket is too small to be of any use for much other than very small objects and anything that can't go in there has to go into the main body.

Took this to Mexico to shoot in tight quarters at night. It fit Canon 5DMKIV + 16-35mm lens + 660 speed light + wireless transmitter + spare battery + spare cards + flash cord! Amazing!

The Ninja Bag!

I shoot a lot of concerts and there's nothing worse than carrying a large bag around a crowded venue The 10L is small enough to be unobtrusive but also carry enough gear for me to get the job done.
As any photographer knows, there is no such thing as a perfect bag. Every shoot has different requirements as does every photographer. It's all about the give and take. What this bag gives up in space, it makes up for in ease of movement and access. It's got plenty of pockets for smaller items, just enough room for a DSLR and a few lenses and hugs close to the body for ease of movement on a hike, in the city or at a show.
If you're new to Peak this is a good starter bag. I've rounded out my gear with a full set of various sizes. I like having a consistency in how things function and I'm happy with my choices so far. Again, the perfect bag doesn't exist but speak is certainly trying to make it

A lot of improvements, just one caveat

Peak Design is one of my favorite brands, I love their products, materials, philosophy and values. Their warranty is for real, I have had products replaced just because they were not perfect. I love my 5L sling bag, but it lacked some important things, like the dual zippers, the possibility of being compressed to fit into another bag, and the external straps to carry a tripod. I love all this enhancements, and the midnight blue color is gorgeous. The only aspect I don't like so much is how the new sling bag grew downwards, and the straps are so on top of the body, so it never stays too close to the body without rocking, with the previous version, which have the straps lower, you can even run and the bag stays flat to the body. Now it balances so much. Apart from this, the new version is awesome.

The perfect sling to travel with!
on February 11, 2020

I have the 3L everyday sling and it works perfect for when I travel. It packs small in my carry on and when I go on daily adventures I have been looking for a bag that is big enough to hold my notepad, phone, charger, and water without being super big and bulky. The addition of the ability to strap my jacket to the bottom with the pack straps is a great idea!
The strap is comfortable and slim to the point I often forget I am wearing it.
The option to wear it as a waist pack is also huge.
For a "just the right size" daypack it has a permanent place in my travel necessities!

Almost perfect

The new 6L fits an EOS R with an RF24-105 mounted, with room for a speedlite or two small primes. The sleeve is big enough to fit an iPad in a case but it's tight, and that means unmounting the lens from the body, but it would probably be big enough for a smaller mirrorless body. I like the new straps that allow me to carry a small tripod or jacket. Minor gripes aside, the bag is very comfortable and easily accessible, even when loaded to capacity, I just wish the bag were about 1cm deeper to make it easier to fit a tablet and camera inside at the same time.

Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L
on May 25, 2020

I've just gotten my PD Everyday Sling 3L a month ago ! After using it for amonth, all I can say that I really like the design and also the strap !
What I normally fit in : My wallet, a phone charger, an A7III with 25mm attached. I've tried fitting in A7III with 25mm attached and also a 85mm on the side as well, to my surprise, they fit and the zip closes properly as well ! I've been using this bag as my everyday light carry, with or without a camera in it.
Tip : Store the extra hook straps into the space where the extra length of straps are being stuffed into.
Suggestion :
Would've preferred to have a pouch to fit an ipad in the back of the compartment, as I'm able to fit my iPad mini in nicely but sadly the divider won't stick in this case..

Easy access
on July 26, 2020

With the 6L Sling I can get easy access to my Olympus EM5. I can fit my EM5 body, two zoom lens, and a prime It's a bit tight, but I all fits. The sling allows for easy carry on my back while exploring around town and then a quick pull to the front gives me a quick access to my camera. The small top pocket has nice slots for batteries and cards, but the outer slots are hard to get to. My battery charger and cord fit really tight, but I usually don't carry them with me around town. The front pocket is nice to stash keys, wallet, and mobile phones. I would recommend this camera bag to others.
