Most versatile sling ever
on March 10, 2020
Posted by: Hector
Just got my 3L sling not to long ago, finally got a chance to use it out in the field and WOW!! So easy to use. Very versatile. Fits my z50, 16/50, and 50/250 set up, glasss, sling, 3+ batteries, and a couple other things all at the same time!! This is a 3L sling?? Peak Design's team did an amazing job figuring out exactly what the changes were that needed to be made from the V1 slings. Defiantly will be sharing and posting everywhere. 1000% recommend along with all the rest of the peak design products.

Great bag with some bad angles
on March 19, 2020

First off, I'm not a photographer. I buy these bags because I like the modular organization and the visual styling of the bags. I got the 3l bag and it's pretty small but can fit a lot of rectangular items into it: I've Even been able to fit My nintendo switch in there (with the joycons removed). The flex fold divider's tricks aren't as useful in this smaller bag but its still useful as a wall in the bag. Visually the bag is stylish from some angles and looks kinda goofy from others. I think this is because the bag is rounded on the front

Yes, you should (if you want)

Great photography bag for day trips if you want to bring an extra lens or two. Also, great bag for literally anything else. The 6L midnight bag is an awesome color. Overall great versatility, it's comfortable, keeps everything safe, and looks good. I hated carrying camera bags before because they looked so bad. This bag, no problem. And it's a great sidekick to my everyday backpack by peak design for shorter photography days.

V2 rocks

Having owned many PD bags I was keen to see what v2 had to offer. The zippers are much improved that I'm finding I'm upgrading all my bags just for this alone. The other refinements are cool too and I'm love the midnight blue options.

Sling 6L - The Goldilocks of Slings
on March 24, 2020

I own several camera bags in several sizes that I've collected over the years. As a photographer, I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem. Even though I have all these bags, when I travel, I always seem to carry too little or too much gear. I have small sling that just fits my mirrorless w/ a 28-75mm lens attached. But, that's it. I also have a carry-on sized camera bag, but that always ends up being too much and too heavy after walking a while.
Then, PD created the 6L Sling. For my travels, it's the perfect grab-and-go bag. It has enough room for my camera w/ lens attached, plus enough room for one, maybe two more items like a an extra lens or flash. I looked at the 3L sling, but it was similar in size to my other small sling. The 10L is nice if you carry a camera with 3-4 lenses, but size and weight is starting to get into messenger/shoulder bag range. For me personally, if I'm carrying that much gear I would prefer a small backpack. I would probably get the Everyday Backpack/Zip if I ever needed to carry that much gear.
To me the 6L Sling just strikes the perfect balance in size and functionality. More importantly, it has helped encourage me to bring my camera out more.

Good product, tremendous customer service
on March 30, 2020

I got a 3L sling around a month ago. As soon as I received it, I found that the two external carry straps were missing. I then contacted the customer service and those straps were arrived within two weeks(btw they sent me four straps). Its customer service really surprised me.
I'm not a professional photographer. This bag just suits what I need: stylish, lightweight, able to carry one camera with an alternative lens(even a tripod if needed), few personal stuff. If you have a similar thought to mine, then this bag may be your choice.
