6L Compare to Retrospective 5L V2.0
on January 15, 2020
Posted by: dennis
I've had the Retrospective for 1.5 years and travel around world (ex: Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, London, and Paris). Think tank made a great bag, but it lack a few features that Sling 6L V2.0 has. Like Think Tank's Velcro main flap with added zippered opening for security. It's not water resistance, so they provide a rain coat that is too small when there is a lot of stuff and it ripped.
The equipment I care includes: Sony A7R3 w/ 50mm F2.8, Osmo Pocket, Gopro 8 Black, Gopro Batteries (3), GoPro Grip + Tripod, Pelican SD Cards Case, Hydro Flask Water Bottle (20 oz), Hand santiazier, Gopro attachments, OSMO Pocket filters.
The Peak Design 6L solved many of the Retrospective 2.0 missing features like DWR coat, tripod holder and easier adjuster for the strap.
However, below are a few features they could add to make it even better:
1. water pouch or camera pouch that can be attached outside (separate purchase). I like to carry water or buy water when traveling and there is no where to attach it. the extra strap used for capture clip can be use for pouches. It would be great to allow modular add-ons
2. a better strap hing to support shoulder carry. Shoulder carrying isn't as comfortable as other slings like retrospective which you can use as a sling or shoulder carry
3. Magnetic detach point for strap like other companies for quick removal.
4. Luggage carry pass-through for roller-top carry for 6L

Best Service and a trendy bag I love since Mark 1
on January 16, 2020

Although I had two failed bags that had minor damages (bought from two different sellers ), peak design support send me a replacement within a few weeks. They were even faster than the local sellers themselves.
I had the mark 1 and bought the mark 2 right away when it was available. My old mark one is still good to good and now serves a friend. The mark 2 was interesting because it offered that tiny bit more space.
1 thing really bugs me: it is more difficult to tighten the strap in hip bag mode. It frustrated me the last time I tried
1 minor thing would have been nice to see on the mark 2: the leather handle was so nice to touch instead of the current one. Anyway I love.

BEST SLING I HAVE USED
on January 16, 2020
Posted by: Anonymous
I recently starting using the everyday sling V2 10L. I can comfortably fit my surface pro, canon80d with a 18-35mm attached and slotted neatly on the side my 70-200mm lens as well. The size, materials and interiors of the bag are really thought out and help me utilise my camera gear.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BAG

Everyday! With Sling
on January 18, 2020

The new Everyday 3L Sling is inconspicuous, comfortable and functional that people doesn't know there is a mirrorless camera inside. I have a Sony A7r4 with 24mm; a few len-wipes, a cloth; spare battery at the internal stretchy pocket; and phone place on top of the FlexFold divider. It's always ready for pick and go. I wish there is a Anchor Link Key Tether, it will be perfect to store away my keys.

Excellent bag - choose your size carefully
on January 19, 2020

Provided you're sure which size will best hold your items, this bag is difficult to beat. In the smallest 3-liter variant, which I bought, the included pockets are small: the front pocket will hold keys, an ID and a couple credit cards, passport OR an incredibly slim wallet. It's difficult to stash an iPhone X with a case or normal-sized wallet in the front pocket, which is probably the only regret I have. The inner pockets are also small - they hold maybe a couple of camera batteries and a data cable, and the side pockets can hold a charging cable or two for your phones. You have to pack with intention with this bag.
That said, the quality of the bag, zippers, etc. are all top notch. The versatility of the main compartment divider can't be overstated - it gives the bag structural support (pretty important for cameras!) and makes such good use of a small space, it's hard to imagine ever buying a bag without one. With this, I could fit my Sony a6100, the kit lens, a prime lens and a small telephoto. That's pretty crazy.
All in all, this bag is well worth the money. It's stylish, protective and still very sleek. If you don't have a camera, all my earlier concerns about the pockets are moot. Regardless, it's a great everyday carry. Would highly recommend.

Ideal sling bag for walking around the city or on a holiday!
on January 19, 2020

I bought the 3L Sling. Perfect bag for carrying one small camera with lens attached (Sony A6400 + 16-55 f2.8 G) and small accessories such as a spare battery, remote shutter & a screw-on filter. You can fit in one extra small lens also if you organise very well. The outside pocket can fit keys n some papers and iPhone Max, I can't fit my wallet and phone together in the pocket. You can also attach a travel tripod at the bottom of the bag, I tested it with a 1.1kg carbon fibre tripod, which was about 15" long after folding, but I would suggest attaching something smaller like a Joby! I was too scared of knocking peopling with my tripod legs & head in the public transport!
The ideal bag for when you don't want to carry all your gear and casual shooting
