Disappointed. Worse than V1.

I have had this bag in the 13L version for at least 6 months. It rarely gets used. I had the V1 in both sizes. I also have a 10L and 6L which I use from time to time. The problems I have with this bag is primarily that the exterior (particularly the large flap) is far, far too stiff and this model lacks the top zipper for easier access. This makes it very awkward to access while wearing it. Try it. Shift the bag from behind you to the front or side to access your camera with a lens on it or another lens to change. It should be obvious when changing lenses you would like to have the bag open so the lenses can set in the bag during a change. There is almost no way to get the large, intrusive flap out of the way. Try it with one hand holding you camera. Try folding the flap backward over the top, between the strap ends and against your body to hold it out of the way. Very awkward! Even trying to remove or store your camera/lens is awkward and definitely a 2-hand job which is not always possible. Even if I take the bag off to set it on the ground (beach, mud, whatever) the top will not stay open. Unless I fold it back and lay the bag on its back, on the ground, with the interior of the flap against the ground to keep it from folding back over and getting in the way. Disappointed. It is large enough for my Sony mirrorless w/ 24-70 or 70-200 attached and the other lens tucked inside. But accessing the bag I the worst experience I have every had.

I originally owned the V1 of the Everyday bag and recently was able to upgrade to this newest version. I absolutely loved my V1 version, and this new one does not disappoint. Great bag to have for cameras, laptops, for work, for school, for really anything. Material is TOP NOTCH. Highly recommend.

The perfect blend of design and practicality

It is the only bag for me when it comes to walking or traveling around with my camera gear. It is as simple as that.
It is clearly designed by people who understand what matters to photographers in terms of weight, practicality, and safety. It is light, spacious (I use it primarily with a big medium format camera and one huge 90mm lens, both of them fit perfectly in the bag), so easy to use (also fast in terms of getting your camera from the bag and putting it away), and safe as well to put away your camera gear. In addition, it looks good from a design point of view. I use it quite intensively, either when traveling or just doing days of street photography, it is sturdy, weatherproof, and reliable.
Finally, I also like the aspect of sustainability and the lifetime warranty which is at the heart of every product of Peak Design.

Perfect daily bag for me

I've used v1 for close to eight years and now I'm using the new version. Flex Dividers make the bag 10-20% more packable, side pockets in the main compartment keep the small stuff from getting in the way and it's significantly lighter. I didn't expect Peak Design could improve on a bag I loved, but they did.
I use it for daily tasks. I always take my camera, often either with a laptop and other work stuff or a day kit for a small baby (diapers, clothes, food, etc.). I never wished the bag was bigger.

Great messenger bag

Coming from a messenger v1, the v2 has a few shortcomings, like no external back zipper, smaller frontal pocket and no top access. If it wasn't for that, it would be 5 starts. However, it is better constructed, sturdy, and still an amazing messenger bag. It also improves in other areas, such as better divisors, zipped lateral pockets and luggage pass, and overall look.

Not big enough and too stiff to open
on August 20, 2024

sometimes if I'm in a bad mood and I open this bag, I want to throw it across the room. The top flap is so annoyingly stiff that it won't stay open when reaching in and out of it. I also long for the old days when there was a 15L (or even larger) messneger style bag.

Perfect water resistant

I purchased 13 inch ver and it's nice dimension for carrying two mirrorless cameras with lenses and also more other things. I used this bag in the rain for a few times and the bag was deeply wet but all thel items in the bag had no damages and even wet. It has great water resistance.
