My perfect bag

Just received my Peak Design Everyday Messenger..
I love it!! The bag feels so good and comfy. It checks out all the boxes of what I want in a bag. I know it's a bag mainly for photographers and I'm not a photographer. I'm just using it for a daily use to work. The flex fold dividers are the best. I love having things perfectly organized in a bag, and I have the flex fold dividers to thank for that.

The Bag of all Bags

My partner is a photographer and continues to use the everyday messenger V1 literally every day. I saw his love for this bag and decided to get my own. I am a sales rep and this bag has become a mobile office of sorts keeping me organized and looking professional out in the field.
I couldn't be happier with the quality and consideration that has clearly gone into this bag. A true cut above the rest and will continue to recommend Peak Design to anyone and everyone looking for a superior product and incredible customer service and company ethics to boot. perfect fit

I love this Everyday Messenger, it's really an everyday thing. I use it for the job as a teacher: enough space for a whole set of books plus laptop and pens, very comfortable to carry, the perfect kind of latch and carrying belt.
The only thing to be aware of is the Luggage pass-through. It might look like a pocket but isn't. At first I did slide in my wallet and the phone, luckily both passed right through on the carpet!

The overall design and function of the messenger bag are satisfactory. It seems a little improved compared to the previous version, but the cushion on the shoulder strap is a little insufficient compared to the capacity of the bag.

Overall does the job

I switched from a v1 10L Sling. I needed to carry a 13" MacBook Pro and an iPad and the Sling couldn't handle it. The Messenger is larger and has a place for the laptop and the iPad. So, score!
I can also carry my Fuji 100F and a set of headphones with a lot of space for more items when I need to carry more for work.
The bag is pretty stiff so it doesn't sit close to your side, however, if you wear it across your back it is fine.
The strap is a little odd compared to the Sling which was a pleasure to use. The strap seems to be on backwards, or connected so the strap is crossed. I don't know.
Bottom line, I am very happy with the bag. It does what I wanted it to do. The strap is a minor item and I can't reduce the number of stars because of it.

A+ Quality, C+ Utility

I was very excited to purchase this bag. The quality is amazing, and the look is clean and professional. Unfortunately, I have become frustrated with the utility of the bag given the width will not easily accommodate a standard notepad, clipboard, folder, etc. in addition, the width will accommodate what I consider to be a small laptop. two more inches would suffice. I can get everything listed in there, but with definite effort that requires me to hold the sides open, make sure nothing is hooked that prevents the stuff from sliding in, etc. this makes interacting with the bag extremely frustrating on a daily basis. Just a little wider, that's it. It was like ordering your favorite food that you've had countless times, and the chef changed that one ingredient that ruins the dish. I really want to love this bag.

Not a step forward?

I got this to replace my V1 15" Messenger. There are features of the V1 I like better: Outside access to both laptop pocket and incidentals pocket (great place for passport, etc.). On this one you need to open the whole thing for access to almost anything. Still a nice bag, but I'm a little disappointed. Wish I hadn't sold my V1.
