Regression over first version

I always liked my V1 Messenger and wanted to have another bag. I have to say I'm disappointed with this new version. It feels slightly smaller. Also has less storage pockets and the storage is less accessible (for example the V1 had a big zipper along the top for direct access to the main compartment). The material is also more stiff it feels the bag is working against you when trying to open and hold open the main flap. All in all a regression over the V1 which is a real shame as that was the perfect bag IMO.

Nice, well built bag, but...

I got this to replace my v1 messenger bag, which I actually liked better. Outside access to the computer/tablet pocket is gone. The main thing I don't like is the fabric shell is extremely stiff, which makes access somewhat cumbersome (flap does not want to stay open). If this were in a softer material it would be dynamite. I'm thinking of replacing it.

Use it everyday!

I bought this bag in the summer as a replacement to my old camera messenger bag, and I'm sad that I waited so long to replace it. The Peak Design Messenger is very comfortable to have on me for long trip, the ladder system of closing is brilliant, and the top zipper for quick access is something I can't live without now. It was my first Peak Design product and it's made me watch their product releases closely now.

Excellent, thoughtful design

This is one of the best bags I've owned. It has quality construction, it is just the right size, and the magnetic closure feels great. The beauty here is the thought put into all of the little details, such as the additional strap attachment points, ease of adjustability, and how the bag has pockets everywhere but none of them seem superfluous.
This bag has one downfall, which can be frustrating for cyclists, but won't affect others. Although the storage straps are a nice touch, it is somewhat annoying and time-consuming to attach/detach/stow them if you are using them for cross-body support.

It is the perfect bag form my Mamiya 6, lenses, assorted filters and odds and ends. It very comfortable, really thoughtful design elements and options. It is the perfect street photography bag and holds my gitzo traveler tripod.

I'm an amateur photographer. We are using your sling bag 6l. As the equipment gradually increased, we needed a large bag. My choice is a messenger bag from PickDesign. Satisfied with strong material and easy storage.

Worth the money, seriously!!!

I am not a photographer but I LOVE this bag. I have used the bag for over 2 years and I am not gentle. I love being able to shift the inside storage dividers around the inside to get everything to fit well.
I have purchased several bags and backpacks and I either break them or after using them... can't stand them. I bought this because I thought I could return if I hated it... but now I am recommending them like crazy to my family and friends
I watched the YouTube videos on all the features and it really helped me use the bag to its fullest.

Everyday Messenger V1 & V2

I ordered V2 but was delivered V1 in error. I spent a few days & liked V1 a lot, however it was missing the feature that permits one to mount it on luggage pull handle so I got the last LAST V2 in stock at the store-LUCKY ME ! It appears as if the fabric it's made of is lighter v tough and more weatherproof than the V1 and the internal partitions are much improved. I can fit 2 mirrorless bodies and several lenses in the main compartment. Furthermore, even though it says 15 in (and I read a review stating the laptop pocket was VERY tight) I just SLIPPED my 16in MacBook Pro in the back pocket-EFFORTLESSLY ! I'm over the moon happy-GET THE V2 (even if V1 is on sale) ! They may look like minor improvements, but for me they made a huge difference. Nicely done Peak Design
