Amazing organization.

I'm thrilled with my backpack using it both as a daily driver and a travel bag. The side opening design makes getting what I need a snap and I can't believe how great the quality is. My only slight misgiving is that the laptop pocket doesn't quite fit 2 laptops, which is Avery noche thing to me. Laptop and iPad or notebook, perfect, but two laptops not quite.

Almost perfect!

This bag has a lot going for it. 3 access points, functionality and cool design. However I think it’s important to remember that all bags will have some limitations and ultimate there is no perfect bag.
I purchased the 30L variety because I needed something that looks professional when I’m out on a shoot and need to bring a days worth of gear. I’m about 5’11”- 6’ and 220 lbs and this bag fits just right on me, it is by no means small. If you’re looking for more of an everyday “city” bag you might want to check out the 20L. The 30L, for me is a good ratio of space and functionality. I can fit two canon bodies (R5 & R6) each with a zoom lens, a DJI Mini 3 Pro fly more combo, an Insta360 cam, a DJI RS3 Pro, and a standard size tech pouch. This pretty much covers me all day. There’s still some room to add a jacket and some extra snacks due to the expandable top. With all those pros there are a few cons, at least in my opinion.
The oragami shelves are a great idea to give you quick organization BUT…theyre not as tight fitting around your gear as say a traditional camera back with hook and loop straps. As a result you’ll have to be a little more aware of what items you put near the side access points. With the side access it would possible to have an item accidentally fall out if your zipper were to somehow open while walking. This might even happen if you open the bag in too much of a hurry and cause items to pop out. How likely is this to happen?….idk, just be aware is all. There is also no native way to lock the top pocket. PD says the latch itself provides a layer of protection but it’s very easily opened. If you leave your bag places when you shoot, you’re going go want to invest in some sort of luggage cable locking system. It’s not a deal breaker per se but it does ruin the esthetic (again imo), I wish there was a way to do this within the bag itself, perhaps employing some anchors? And lastly the zipper placement on the inner access panels can create some friction points for your gear. It would have been great to have a piece of fabric that folds over the zipper to eliminate that…maybe in V3. There is no rear access but this isn’t that kind of bag.
Aside from those few gripes I’ve really enjoyed this bag for what it is. It’s nice to see a company that’s actually trying to do something different while maintaining functionality and not sacrificing on looks.

The only thing is the black version attracts dirt like a pig in a pen. It gets so dirty so fast! But otherwise...
Got the 30L bag, and it's fantastic for carrying stuff. Easy to make comfortable on the shoulders, and great configs for all my stuff. Taking it as a carry on the planes is a breeze and it looks nice and everything is accessible! I like it...
Just the black... so dirty.

Everyday Backpack

The everyday backpack is definitely a great design by Peak Design. It is truly an everyday bag with a very modern hipster vibes. The bag however does need to be reorganized every time you want to switch up a new setup. I personally only use it for my camera gear and the size of the bag is very sleek and compact.

Upgrade

I have used the V1 for almost 2 years. After much wear, I decided to upgrade to the V2. It is significant improvement over the V2. Easier to use. Better laptop compartment. Internal pockets are easier to access. The extra compartments for sd cards within zipper area is great for organizing.

Great backpack with some possible improvement

The backpack itself is great. Very durable.
With that said, I wish it had a bit more pockets. For example, the inner part of the flap could have another pocket, and notebook slip could have a stretchable pocket as well for sliding in cards or something very thin.
