I shoot couples and seniors in the Las Vegas Valley and used the bag for the first time yesterday. It performed phenomenally! I'm 6'5” and I thought the 30L bag would fit me odd like any other backpack I've worn. It fit like a glove. The compartments throughout the bag make it so you can come up with your own configuration that works with your gear. The shelves have little flip-up lens holders that ensure lenses aren't just flopping around in the bag. You can tell an army of photographers worked to create the most perfect photographer's backpack in the history of humanity and they did. It's amazing and I love it.
Everything's perfect and its the best backpack existing on earth as of date. This backpack is on a different league so please dont compare those 4 stars with any other backpacks.
You would have got my 5 stars if the below mentioned things would have been present. 1.Pocket on the straps for easy access of passport or credit cards 2.Rain cover. 3.Seperate pocket at the bottom to store wet clothes or shoes etc etc. 4.Hip belt. 6.A dedicated easy access compartment for storing sunglasses. 7.Leather version would look out of the world. 8.Some more room for expansion.
It only took this one purchase from peak design and I am now looking for excuses to replace my previous collection of bags and accessories with peak design stuff. A place for everything and everything in its place.
A very good backpack for everyday use and business trips. I carry a large laptop and some other tech. the 30L has the right size. I really like the magnets which keeps the back tidy on overhead compartments.
There is so much I love about this bag but to pick a couple, the customizability is truly next level, the design is beautiful, and the magnets everywhere to discreetly hold stuff together is incredible. First backpack I've gotten feeling like I can comfortably use it for a long time and will be happy, and also the first backpack I've ever had multiple people comment on and ask about it, and I always show it off and direct them to the website, one friend even purchased one himself! Great product.
I've had the v2 20L for ~2 months now and absolutely love it. Writing a review because I don't use it at all as a photography bag, so figured it may help others considering a non photo usage. I commute via bicycle with this bag everyday. Basically am easily able to roll my shirt in there when I commute so I can change at work. I can then fit my bike helmet on the top expandable section of the bag, and still have enough room to use two "drawers" under it. This could fit a pair of pants and a rolled up shirt, or you could make one single big section out of this and fit a loaf of bread to bring home. Or you could pop up the dividers and store cans if you want. You really make this bag what you want it to be. It's winter time here, and they got rid of the bike light attachment in the v2. So instead I clasp my bike like on the maglatch thingy and it works alright. The straps are fairly comfortable even when loaded up, including a 15inch macbook. Worst comes to worst use the chest strap to balance the load and it's just fine. The 20L is actually fairly big in itself. Honestly still feeling the joy of using this and transforming it quickly based on the day's need. Awesome bag - it was expensive, but no regrets at all.
This is the best bag I have ever bought myself but in less than a week I have noticed fraying from inside of the bag and the flexfold dividers. Also the alignment of the center column where you insert the dividers isn't properly centered where the right side will get tighter and the other one will become loose.
