I love my everyday backpack. The numerous pockets, pouches, and compartments keep my life organized better than any other bag I've owned. After 3 years of daily use, the computer compartment zipper broke and I got really sad. My friend that gifted me the bag for my birthday mentioned that PD fixes or replaces their products FOR LIFE, recycling old units to help in close-loop manufacturing. As a Sustainability MBA, this is one of the sexiest things a company can do! I am forever a PD customer after they replaced my broken bag and promised to responsibly recycle the old one. P.s. Everyone I show my bag to gets very jealous and wants to know where I got it from!
I almost didn't purchase this backpack for daily carry because it is designed primarily for camera, drone and other technical equipment. However, as of this review, I'm content with my purchase.
Here is what I like: * The material is top tier: durable and attractive * Stands on its own, which is nice when placing on the floor or loading/unloading laptop. * Adaptable: I've been playing with configurations and have found one that seems to work well. * Attractive: It has been receiving a lot of compliments and second looks. * Cool Features: I like the side access because nothing gets lost in the bag. Strap magnets are nice to have, though you have to deliberately engage them. Straps to tie on items are a smart feature. Mag clip works well and looks good.
Still getting used to: * Top/quick access storage for pens and other miscellaneous is a little awkward. * A bit bulky when tossing in the car. * Sternum strap takes a bit more focus than a standard clip. * So many storage locations for smaller items that I'm still trying to remember where everything is. * I have the larger version and have no problem losing / unloading laptop, however accessing other compartments in that section can be like sorting through file folders. Still getting used to that...
Pros: The material is great, the design is excellent. Cons: Heavy bag just by its own weight. it will be too heavy for EDC. Water resistent material seems to fade away after 1 year.
No question about it, I've put these bags through hell and they always do the job. Recently upgraded to the V2 and wow, I thought the original was good. This new version improves every detail with some heavy duty quality of life improvements.
My favorite part of this bag is how it carries a lot of gear while staying neat and compact. So many other bags end up making you look like a giant hunchback when they're full and the PD EDBP stays relatively thin and neat looking. It's the only camera bag I've ever had people compliment.
I've been used the Peak design backpack v1 and I also bought the v2 too. The most versatile, modern yet sustainable bag I ever used. Love to carry everywhere, matches every moment, from proper meeting to go around.

I was already convinced after a friend had used the v1 and after watching the detailed and comprehensive videos from the Peak Design team. I'm not disappointed.
The backpack itself is great, full of clever details. The quality is really nice. It works perfectly for me and I do recommend it.
It's rather expensive but I'm sure it will last for many years, so I was happy to make the investment.
