Excellent bag just missing a small pocket
on February 18, 2022

I have really loved using this bag! The top and side access is super convenient, and the build quality is great. I just wish there was an easy-access small pocket somewhere for storing things like wallet & keys, it is a bit of a pain to have to open up one of the main pockets to get to small things. But apart from that, I'm very happy!
I would recommend this to a friend!

at first it felt stiff but when I found my best fit it felt amazing. I also know that my gear is protected. No complains, just the leather acents felt kid of dry.

Best Camera Backpack Ever
on February 15, 2022

We have had multiple styles and configurations of backpacks over the years to accommodate our ever-changing camera needs as we travel. This has been the most versatile and convenient backpack for photography as we have traveled, hiked, trekked, walked, and even biked. You can quickly access your camera, lenses, accessories from two side zipper pockets and do not have to open a large top pouch or dig through a deep bag to get to the bottom. He side zipper pocket makes it easy to remove and quickly access your camera, lenses, and accessories. No matter what we need for a certain day, we can easily configure the dividers for a variety of different sizes of lenses and equipment. This has been a game changer for us.

Excellent bag but...

I love the bag, it has great features, it is strong, good looking, well planned however the only downside of it for me is the stability of the dividers. As a user of Sony A7Rxx the lenses I use are small and the dividers force me to stack lenses together to have some stability and actually secure them in place. Other than this, so far, in love with the bag.

Best backpack I've ever seen let alone used so far
on February 14, 2022

I bought the 20l Ash variant a few weeks ago. I was a little wary of dumping this much money on a backpack, but boy is it ever worth it.
This backpack solves literally all the gripes I've had with other backpacks so far. Being able to divide the main compartment into lots of smaller compartments that hold your stuff in place without compromising accessibility to anything is amazing. Add in the myriad of thoughtfully designed dedicated pouches all throughout the thing, the external carry straps, incredibly satisfying magnets everywhere, and in my opinion great look, and this is basically the perfect backpack as far as I'm concerned.
There's only two minor negatives I've identified so far:
- The "small stuff"-compartment that's accessible through the same zipper as the notebook and tablet compartments shares its space with the big main compartment (it kind of hangs into it - see attached photo), and is separated from it only by the stretchy, thin fabric the compartment is made of. It works great so far, but while rummaging about in the main compartment, I'm always a little worried I'll get caught in something that sits in the small compartment and accidentally damage that fabric holding it.
- The little tag with the serial number for registering the backpack sits tucked away in one of the small pouches and is incredibly hard to get to. I actually resorted to sliding my mobile phone in and taking a picture, instead of just reading the tag myself. This could be made a little more accessible. This is a one-time only, extremely minor annoyance, but wanted to mention it.
Overall, greatly recommended, and I'm a little sad that the pandemic situation doesn't allow for more opportunities to use it.

Two Year Review: Best Ever
on February 11, 2022

After 2+ years of use I have assessed the 20L Everyday Backpack as the best backpack I have ever owned. I've used it for work daily (pre-pandemic), hiking, as an airplane carry-on (fits well under the seat), as a dedicated camera bag, and a gaming bag. During air travel for work I've been able to fit three laptops, an iPad, over-ear noise cancelling headphones, and a Nintendo Switch. The side zipped openings are its best feature. Highly recommended.

Better than v1
on February 11, 2022

Go out and get this bag today. Super solid, super stylish, super versatile. It is more streamlined than v1 and has an option to add a solid waist strap which is super nice. It is less boxy which is also good. My only compliant that was not fixed in v2 is the fact that it STILL does not stand up on it's own. It constantly tips over threatening to ruin whatever is inside so I have to think about it and prop it up against a wall with the front of the bag facing the wall. Why, why did you design it this way PD? It was SOOOOOO close to perfection.

best camera/commute backpack ever
on February 11, 2022

My 30-liter version suits in every situation. Various trips, commute, work, with camera or not. It's so well thought and integrated to the PD ecosystem! It's super comfortable no matter how much stuff you fit inside. For extra stability on the back there's the chest strap. Never needed the hip strap.
