So far, I love the bag. The only complaint I have is the snaps to reduce the volume from 35L to 30L. They work, but nearly had to break my thumbs to get them to snap. It would be helpful to have an alternative, easier method to reduce the volume. It would also be helpful to have D ring or some other type of "handle" on the backpack shoulder strap adjustments. Essentially, having something to more easily pull on to tighten the straps would be nice. Otherwise, this is a great bag. The construction is top notch. I love how well the zippers work. The ability to quickly and easily get the backpack straps out and also stow away is an awesome function. The storage volume is excellent. The ability to get into and out of the bag is very intuitive. I love how smartly designed all of the pockets are. I am have only traveled with it once so far. I have another trip coming up this week. However, I am excited to say that I may become a single bag traveler with this backpack. Combining it with the Peak Design packing cubes has opened my eyes to being able to travel with just one bag. I would highly recommend this bag. Whether traveling with just one bag or expanding your carry one options to add to you suitcase, this is a great bag. I am interested to see if I can get away with backing it under an airline seat. It isn't advertised as such, but I think that I might be able to do it... I will probably find out this week.
Awesome product, just took a 10 day trip with my family and my backpack performed better than advertised. Only problem is now all 4 of my kids want one - Highly recommended!!
I wanted to love this bag more than my other everyday bag, but I didn’t. This bag does not have as much room as I’d thought. My 30 everyday back pack has more inside compartment room than this bag. This bag is the ideal travel bag one can pack lots of items in this bag, I purchased this bag to carry multiple lenses and camera bodies, but was disappointed with the fact that the largest cube had less room than for these items than my everyday 30 back pack. I love this bag any how. Peak designs some of the smartest bags around!
Great bag. Tons of room and organization. Flexible compartment sizes are a big plus as well. First trip I used this on was a 9 day beach trip. Packed my Camera, 24-70mm f2.8 lens and a 50mm 1.8 lens, camera strap, memory cards, laptop, and 9 days worth of pants, shirts, socks, undergarments, headphones, glasses, and other necessities with room to spare. Best part was it was easy to stay organized. Looking forward to purchasing some packing cubes in the future as well
Originally I wanted to return it. Felt like it was stiff and bulky and that I couldn't fit half what I needed. Then we went on our trip... Best choice ever. The harness system makes it ten times more comfortable and the turtle shell hideout is perfect for waiting at the gate and storing on the overhead. All the hiding pockets... I could store and have at the flick of my hand ID, cc AND my glucose monitor. My water bottle and dog treats where easily accessible. It had the perfect amount of space for all our dog and human gear.
The only minus it has from me is that the fabric does attract dog hair and my service dog is a Golden Retriever and my bag is black. That is a fabric thing, not just do to color although I am aware had I chosen sage it wouldn't be as noticeable.
The backpack has a lot of amazing features. I really enjoy the how I can fit a whole weekend worth of clothes and my gear in one bag. The only think that I would find myself not useing as much would be the side acsess panels. other than that I love this bag!! The bulild materials are amazing and I know that i will be beating this up a lot, and feel comfortable to do so. The camera cube and the capture clips are so handy!
