I've had other bags that promised much but did not live up to those promises. Peak Design is understated but delivers. Love the clean, simple design of the Travel Backpack, as well as the well thought out layout and pockets. And the quality and workmanship is great. They really knocked this one out of the park. Using it right now in Japan as I'm writing this!

Finally a TRUE efficient and smart travel backpack!

I travel a lot for work and leisure. I also like to go backpacking and am into photography. I've been a big fan of Peak Design gear over the years with their straps, capture clip and slings. I was looking for a backpack where I can carry my laptop for working remotely and that also allows me to carry personal gear to explore a new city. This backpack fits the bill perfectly. The smart innovative design with the expansion up to 45L is AMAZING. I can use it for a day trip, weekend trip, a multi-day trip. The features of this backpack are also worth noting. Easy access to gear and laptop. The front panel is great for quick access. The water bottle/tripad sleeve on the side is very spacious. I love this backpack. It is one backpack that can be used for all of my various different travel purposes. I used to have a day pack, 65L backpack, laptop bag, camera bag and all of these are combined into the Travel Backpack from PD. The travel pouches and packing cubes are pretty awesome as well. Very well built and very well thought out product with common sense in mind. Thank you PD!

When I first got my bag, I picked it up and explored every nook and cranny of the thing trying to map ahead where I could put what packing for a trip, and something occurred to me while doing it. I didn't have to. It was like if I took time, carefully thought ahead, and designed this bag for myself.
It was like I have already owned and used the bag for years.
Everything was where it made sense to be.
Quality of materials and zippers are an A+ too.
The look of a minimal sleek design is always a plus. Even if it's packed full, it doesn't look or feel that big, like other bags can...
Extremely comfortable for long hauls.
Almost too easy to get through airport security and flights with it, compared to some other bags and especially suitcases.
I've been able to get rid of my suitcase and other backpacks in place of this one, which tremendously helped minimize my storage use at home.
It's a steep price, however if you're like me and you USE your backpacks for 10-15+ years, you won't be disappointed.
Spending it on something like this, which will make those 10-15 years of use much easier is worth it to me.
Thank you to the team that designed and made this.

Confortable good looking bag

The PD Travel Backpack is definitely the product I was looking for to replace (at least in certain cases) my Everyday Backpack.
This is a bag that not only looks good, is very confortable for its size, and feels durable and solid. It has a decent amount of space and it doesn't look awkward in your back when is fully loaded.
After my first trip with it I end up very happy and I'm sure I'll take it to the next one.
Pros:
- Good amount of space without compromising the looks
- Solid construction and well finished
- Lots of pockets and ways to distribute the space with cubes and pouches
- Very comfortable even when is heavy
Cons:
- I found difficult to access the laptop and tablet specially when is in the cabin top compartment and all the weight is on top of the devices access (couldn't take out my tablet and had to took it out of the compartment)
- Is heavy even when is empty
- You lose space when using the cubes and pouches

Convenient, efficient and really good looking bag

I've been looking for the perfect bag for me and this is definitely it. Not only is it an amazing travel bag but for the amount of gear I carry this ended up being my everyday packpack.
I usually keep a medium camera cube and tech pouch with me at all times and I compress the top of the bag. When traveling I uncompress the top, add a wash pouch and add some clothes to the front of the bag. On family trips I change up the medium camera cube for the small one and fill it up with packing cubes.
I just like having the flexibility and ease of being able to quickly swap and structure the bag the way I want with all of the packing tools. Without having to unpack and make a mess, everything is organizing, swappable and packing is has turned into just placing the camera cubes, pouches and packing cubes that already have everything packed and just placing them in my really good looking packpack.
Great investment, amazingly desiged product.

Great Motorcycle Backpack
on November 25, 2019

I've owned a 20L Everyday Backpack for over a year and it's been my main bag for camera, drone and everything else. After traveling with it on my motorcycle, it didn't have the volume to carry gear and clothes and shoes. Also, the straps on the Everyday Backpack were hard to put on with a motorcycle jacket.
I used the Travel 45L with a small camera cube, change of clothes and shoes on a 3 hour motorcycle ride to Monterrey Bay. The weight was balanced and the bag had very little drag. The straps were very comfortable and did not fatigue my shoulders. After riding for a few miles, I forgot I was wearing the bag! I had plenty of room for more clothes and gear, but kept it light because it was a long trip. I like the waist straps much more than the ones on the Everyday Backpack because they offer more support and I loved having my Capture Clip connected. The Capture Clip also can stay attached when the strap is stored in the back slot of the bag. The handles are located in great places to grab and go and the additional straps have anchor points all over the bag to attach large items and they clip on with a confident snap feeling. This bag is much more comfortable than the Everyday Backpack even being over twice the size which I did not expect. This might replace the Everyday Backpack for me in the long run! Great bag! Good job, Peak Design!
