Very good material, comfortable to walk with even if bag is a bit heavy. All of the pockets are spot on.

I had two other PD bags that after seeing this bag and what it is capable of I knew I had to upgrade. Took this bag boy on two trips over the last month and let me tell you, it was a champ!
Definitely worth the investment and grab a camera cube!

Amazing utilitarianism, quality and aesthetic.

This HAS to be the best travel bag ever. No I'm not paid (PD if you see this 😉)
The attention to detail and utilitarian features are endless. The quality is so good, I feel like I won't be able to destroy it, truly. The material is pretty strain resistant too.
There's metal where most other brands wouldn't put. It's definitely on the pricey side but I would buy this again if I could and again. If you're looking for a gift, would highly recommend.

Amazing travel bag

I was able to travel with this bag for the first time this weekend and have to say I love it. I do wish it had the admin pocket like on the 30L backpack but understand why it’s not on there. Overall it made my trip easier and it was great only looking after one bag. I also folded up a small tote bag and put it in one of the water bottle pockets and then used it to hold my iPad and snacks when I got on the plane and put the big bag up in the overhead

I’ve been using the Peak Travel Backpack 45L for 15 months, and while I love many aspects of it, I’ve encountered some significant issues with the straps that have unfortunately led me to consider other options.
As a basketball referee who travels frequently by train, plane, and automobile, I need a bag that’s not only functional but also comfortable for extended wear. I’ve adopted a minimalist packing style to avoid checking my bag, and the Peak Travel Backpack 45L seemed perfect for this. The large compartment, with its customizable organization and ability to separate areas, has been ideal for carrying my referee uniform (jersey, pants, jacket, socks, and dry-fit undergarments), officiating sneakers, an extra set of clothes, toiletries, an iPad, and a tech bag.
However, after a few months of use, I noticed discomfort in my shoulders. The shoulder straps started digging in, and even though I purchased an additional detachable shoulder padding to help, the problem persisted. The bag never felt quite right on my back. I also found that the waist strap was too flimsy and didn’t offer the support needed to transfer the load off my shoulders and onto my hips, where it belongs. This lack of support has been particularly challenging during long walks through airports or extended periods of wear.
Given how much I travel and the importance of keeping my gear organized and accessible, it’s disappointing that the comfort level doesn’t match the excellent design. Redesigning the shoulder straps to include more padding, ergonomic shaping, and a more robust waist strap could make this bag much more comfortable for users like myself who carry it for long periods.
I genuinely love this bag’s features, but the physical discomfort it causes is something I can’t overlook. I hope Peak Design will consider these changes in future iterations, as they would significantly enhance the usability of an already well-thought-out travel backpack.

I bought this product sometime back and took it for my solo trip to Uganda, February of this year. It is such a robust sturdy bag, sits well on the shoulders, comfortable across the back and a good fit for my camera and daily use
